Well I'm having problems getting the SX pure to work on the ML. I hope the Yihi version is better than this. You'd think that if these tanks only work on two units they'd know the perfect settings to get It to function the best. There was no set up examples at all in the instructions. I've been threw 4 wicks now. There is no juice control so I've had some leaks with top fill. My wicking seems to be perfect. I've tried from low setting to high. The cotton burns only at the bottom edge of the coil. By the way the instruction specifically says "Must NOT BE DRY BURN"!
So I don't know how to proceed from here I was hoping HyperSpace would having been on here with his opinion/help.
I wondered at first that maybe because the IPV5 was a dual 18650 and the ML class was a single that the Yihi version would be set up with a different coil head? Help anyone??

My tank isn't arriving till Monday, so I can't be much help to you yet. Give @David247 a shout. He's the only one I know that has been using the tank. He posted about it in the Q thread. SXmini Q Class Powered by YiHi SX450 Chip Part 2

Its says do not dry burn in the instructions but after three days it was gunk up
Yeah, I know what my SS430 coils look like after less than a week so I could not see anyway it would be usable for 3 months without dry burning it every once in awhile. Thanks for the quick response.

Cheers,
Steve

Surely someone will come with a Normalized TFR curve for the Pure... it's just a heating element. The SX-Pure will surely work on any device with adequate spec's when the TFR curve or TCR is known...

As far as a gunky heating element maybe a small brush would clean it sufficiently. Still waiting on actual experiences over a 3 month period to verify longevity. If it turns out to be as great as it is hyped to be then I'll have a few after the TCR/TFR is verified...

EDIT: Sent a request to Steam Engine about coming up with a TRC/TFR for this heating element...

sorry I meant which mode power or joules
I'm in Joules mode. I tried power mode for the last time before rewicking and it burnt right away. Weak vape!
There is so much air flow it mutes a lot for my style of vape . like I said I may not have found a good setting.
My wicking seems fine not dry at all. Right now for example the res is .06 it's set at 225 degrees F, at 18 joules. I tried all the way up to 525 degrees 18 joules. With a lot of variations in between.

That why I thought they should be able to say exactly what you should set the unit at. If it's SX pure setting is the only mode that will work on these two exclusive units it can't be this hard to get going. You can't change the coil size or its res as we are use to doing with coils. They say nothing about setting in the instructions. Dumb
