New York Assembly Vote

Since the New York State Assembly passed a bill unanimously to ban e-cigarettes do you still view this as a conservative vs liberal vs independent issue?

I don't think this issue falls along party lines - it falls through cracks.

Most of the people voting on these bills don't have any experience in this area other than a few cherry-picked opinions, carefully spoon-fed by the ALA and FDA. I just don't see it as being a party issue. It's more of a misinformation issue.

I agree with you Stephra. All of the people voting on this were just spoon fed what they were wanted to here and see. NY is a big misinformation state when it comes to alot of thing and something of this nature isnt even a care in their eyes. There more worried about terror threats and where their next paycheck is going to come from with all the budget cuts and what not going on.
At the rate we are going here this state will be bankrupt soon and if people quit smoking by using ecigs and dont pay the rediculous taxes on cigarettes to the state rest assured it will be sooner then later. At $10 a pack of cigarettes in the city and 8 in outlying ereas how much of that do you think is tax money and what it would do if they lost it so they dont care about parties only stopping somthing that will potentially bankrupt the state.

I think it is very difficult to think beyond our own political point-of-view to address any issue. If we are going to be successful then we must work in unison. It may be more fun to rant, but I agree that we need to focus on education.
