Howdy and welcome :)

What is this problem you are having?
So i have a Smok Veneno and for some reason after working fine since new (couple months old) the display is black and won't come on . However when I plug it into my pc it lights up temporarily saying charging . I've also noticed that if the battery cover is closed it won't turn on at all and if I leave it slightly open with my finger holding it shut , it will charge. There are also a few lines on the display... I managed to get a photo . I was wondering if anyone's had the same issue or any suggestions

*Sigh*. SMOK: the huffy bicycle of vapes. It’s likely just broken. If it’s within the warranty period you can try to rma it for a replacement. If not you’re probably SOL. SMOK does not have a good rep for reliability I’m afraid.

Okay thankyou .... do you reckon I could fix it or is it gone
Fixing SMOK mods is generally a waste of time. They tend to do things like missolder stuff or misalign parts. It’s terrible quality control that kills em. Some people have SMOK mods that are rugged and remain functional for years. Just not nearly as many of them as there SHOULD be.

Okay .. from the sounds of it I will just buy a new vape . What are the best out there and person suggestions??
Unfortunately ruggedness often comes with price. The two toughest mods out there are the geekvape ageis and ageis legend. They’re neither small nor particularly cheap though. There are many well made mods. To narrow it down a bit what do you want out of a mod?

Mtl or dL vape?
How important is small?
What do you want to spend?

He did ask the best, that's the best out of all my mods. IMO. I also have Wismec RX Gen3 Dual and GTRS Vboy 200watt Version 2 if he is interested in something cheaper
They also cost well over a Benjamin. This mod is a good example of a DNA chipset mod though

Do try for a warranty I mean if you have it as a backup worst case if another mod breaks you get something you can use, and also, it's good to hold vendors accountable for their products, the more warranties that are left unused, the more a company can continue to have hassle free poorly designed mods.

As far as lost vape, that is an excellent company and mod. I will also state there are TONS of great vaping companies that may not be a DNA mod and etc, but are still often very good, such as teslacigs in general, the Innoken mods can be nice, I have a proton I enjoy a lot, more budget friendly mods that may not be DNA but still reliable include Eleaf and Geekvape.

Kind of look around a bit and see what appeals to you, etc. Good luck,

Anna

My best mod is the Vaporesso Armour Pro with the Cascade Baby tank. It's a single battery mod so it's relatively small but it produces great flavor and clouds. You can find it readily on many sites for about $50. I would also recommend investing in a couple of batteries and a charger. Have fun shopping.
