hello everyone.. i don't smoke cigaretts but my father does and i'm trying to get him to at least switch to vaping to start...

sorry for the noobness but any help is appreciated...

my father smokes american spirits (teal/blue) box.... he's smoking 10 cigarettes on average a day

Please advise if i'm ordreing this correctly so that when I receive this he can start vaping correctly.

My order was going to be:

the v2 kit or the lambo kit (not sure which one is better) plus tobacco juice (50/50 ?) @ 24 mil nic... (is 24mils too high?)

Vamo Variable Volt/Watt APV (Chrome) V2.0 Kit - High Desert Vapes

or

Lambo V4 (Lavatube V4) Kit w/Gift Box

would this give him the most similar nic level he's getting now?

is there anything else I should order?

also, is 50/50 a good mix for a first time vapor who's trying to get the cigarette exp (i think half the battle is mentally seeing the smoke)

thanks for taking the time to read and helping ! :)

Hi and welcome to ECF. I own the Vamo 2 and LOVE it but realize there's a learning curve. Either yourself or your Dad would have to learn how to use it and all the various delivery devices ( holds and vaporizes the juice). As for juice:
Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%- could be higher or lower depending on the flavor used.
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like - many of us believe PG to be a throat irritant.
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG.

Edit: Actually if he's only smoking 10 analogs per day the Vamo might be overkill IMO.

And yes, the 24 mg might be too high. Try finding a juice supplier that sells sample packs and get him a range of both flavors and nic strengths. What percentage a vaper starts at really doesn't have much to do with anything strangely enough. We've had filterless chain smokers that couldn't go past 12 mg, casual ultra light smokers that had to have 24 mg, and visa versa. Best to give him plenty of choices to start with.

I would try something simple and fun like an ego-t first. That was my first and I think how simple it was made things easier.

I agree with this, an Ego-T or C with a basic clearo like a CE4 or Kanger would be a great starter kit, and a much easier learning curve for a beginning vaper.

Or a Spinner, with any of the above mentioned clearos.

Since you don't know if he's going to take to vaping, I don't think I'd go for anything that involves extra costs (i.e. tube mod, batteries for it, charger for them...) But a VV device is good to have, so he can "tailor" the experience to his taste, and the Spinner is a solid and inexpensive entry point.

As I recall, American Spirit is / used to be one of the companies that actually "enhanced" the nic content, although they were good for not having as many additives. So 24 might be ok, but the idea of several different levels is a good one, maybe 12, 18 and 24.

thanks for the help!

guess i have to look around for a sampler... plus that vendor sold out of the v2 :)

thanks vapoor eyes on the vg help... was wondering what that was all about!

You're welcome. If you really are stuck on the Vamo I'd suggest the Stainless Steel as it's far more durable. The other finishes are either fingerprint magnets or they scratch very easily.

The Vamo is in stock here:
VAMO Variable Volt/Watt APV V2
Apparently they have limited quantity:

Realize the V3 is about to be released and cannot be used in stealth mode with the smaller batteries:
VAMO Variable Volt/Watt APV V2

Here's a review to show you the size. I own the Vamo and use it at home. For out and about I take along my Spinners. Most vapers enjoy vaping around 4 volts. Spinner fires from 3.2- 4.8 volts.

I will have to concur with other users on starting out with something simple like the Ego-T because there is a lot less learning involved. Personally, the biggest draw to vaping (for me) is the variety of flavors which is something you don't really get from analogs.

As for samples, I know that my local brick & mortar store had probably 20 or 30 flavors available for tasting and no obligation to buy. So maybe there is a place near you that offers the same thing?

Cheers and good luck!
