I hope this posts in the right section - newbies. I'm using taptalk

Anyways, Hi all!
I'm new to this whole inhaling things and blowing smoke-like misty stuff out. I have never smoked. I just picked up a vape pen. (E go C twist) and some crappy clearomizer that came with the pack; it works.

So, my question is, why should I continue to do it? Maybe I'm just an ignorant noob here, that didn't read others posts about how they enjoy vaping. I have never been addicted to nicotine. Should I get some juice with nicotine in it to feel an extra bit if something?

I can partially answer my question. I am learning to blow "donuts," I guess that could be a fun aspect to this.

First e juice I bought and am currently using is the Frozen Tundra. It's plain and I guess I like it that way, or maybe I need to build up my palate. Haha.

Any thoughts, recommendations or just conversations welcome here.

Hi and Welcome to ECF :)

I cannot give you any reason to continue and I would definitely say - dont try nicotine if at all avoidable. No reason to introduce it if you are not already fighting an addiction.

There are a few folks here that never smoked and Im sure someone will be along soon with their personal reasons. For most of us, this was a way to quit or reduce smoking, so we may not be able to relate to where you are right now.

I would not get juice with nicotine. It is statistically harder to get off of nicotine than it is to get off ....... If you want to keep vaping, research a decent clearomizer, I personally really like the iClear 16 for a cheap, easy to use, long lasting clearo with good flavor. Then I would research flavors, and try the ones that sound interesting from different companies. My girlfriend and I both love Deadly Sin from GLV, but that mean others will like it. Taste is completely subjective so you should just try whats out there. But if you are not addicted to nicotine do not start.

Hello! I have never smoked a cigarette in my life nor do i plan on it. I have done hookah though. I started vaping as a way to feed the craving of vaping. It was a lot more convenient than carrying around my mini hookah set and dealing with charcoal and all that junk. I think once you get into doing more tricks youll realize you need better equipment and start looking to upgrade. To me this really became a hobby once i started looking for a mechanical mod. Just start experimenting with flavors and eventually youll find some good stuff to get you hooked. The Vape community is also super friendly, so vape shops are all fun hangouts now as well. Enjoy!

Wow. Please .....

Don't mean to bash or anything, but people like you give the people like most of us who where actually addicted to analogs a bad name. And you also help feed the trolls who want to ban what we do to get away from the struggle and 4000+ chemicals we used to inhale every single day. I love vaping and it's helped me kicked the stinky's in the .... (no pun intended) like nothing else, and now I can proudly say that it helped me quit my nasty habbit FOR GOOD. But for you to pick it up for no reason or to start your nic journey and or maybe just for "tricks" is just incredibly disrespectful.
Sorry for coming off as rude but thanks to you and others like you, people aren't to fond of the whole vaping idea because it "helps non smokers become addicted and "the fruity flavors are directed at kids" ...Give me a break. This is for folks like me and many on this forum who have been smoking for most of there lives and are tired of the toll it's played on they're body and mind. But thanks to vaping there's now a relief. But people like you may take that relief away from us.

I guess I'll keep this as a once or thrice a week thing. Vape-culture is interesting so far, judging by the response I got.

I will keep in mind the dangers if addiction and habit formation. I'll see how far my initial "setup" and juice will last me. Then I'll try to create my own.

Thanks for all the insight into my sitch.

If it is just for people trying to quit smoking then why all the crazy "mods" and stuff.

Sometimes you just need more power to keep you from going back to analogs. And it does become a fun hobby as well. But I strongly suggest using 0nic juice if you are going to partake. There is no logical reason in the universe to start using a highly addictive substance.

I was scrolling the thread waiting for this. I also mean no disrespect, but have to agree. By all means, vape the day away, but I must urge you not to carry the attitude that your PV is some kind of handheld smoke trick machine. Vapers are locked in a REAL conflict trying to preserve their rights to their chosen alternative and it only adds fuel to fire when people who have no means of factual education on the topic see people (especially young adults (or worse, minors)) ripping on vapes flaunting smoke rings in public. Regardless of your intent, less educated people can be impacted negatively by this, and it compromises the image real vapers are trying to build for themselves. If you are planning on vaping for any purpose, this forum is the best around in terms of community, knowledge, support and friendliness, even for someone in your position who isn't a nicotine user who just wants to make clouds. Just please be aware of how you portray yourself as a vaper in the public eye as many people aren't and it seriously combats our attempts to legitimize our lifestyles in the eyes of the masses.

EDIT: And by all means, don't start using nicotine for no reason. It takes a while, but once you realize what you've done, it's already too late.

Thanks guys. It seems like I dove head first into this one.

Ill try to be more sensitive to users of e-cigs.

Sorry for being a newb.

lol, don't wallow in it. Folks here are on pins and needles fearing that Big Tobacco or Big Government or Big Something is gonna take away the one tool that has gotten them off of smoking. Maybe some are a little defensive, or maybe you're trying to push buttons. I don't know. But if you have specific questions about using e cigs, I'm sure you can find answers here. Good luck.
