Thank you all very much for the prompt replies. Now I think I may be ready to take a whack at it. And, as luck would have it, the postman just delivered my starter kit. So, since my last post, I've read the directions and have everything charging. Instructions say to charge initially for 8 hours regardless if green light is on or not. So, this evening then.
For purposes of full disclosure, I got the Joye 510 starter kit and charging / carrying case. With everything are a total of 3
batteries, 3 atomizers, 3 unknown cartridges (just that they're a mixture of menthol and "
tobacco"), and a box of 5 cartridges that was only designated as "
tobacco / medium.
Seemed a safe starting place. Although many have indicated one is not likely to stay with a 510, it was regularly suggested as popular starting place. So many to choose from and then from whom do you purchase from. Who are the scammers and who are legitimate, it's mind boggling.
Unfortunately I had to buy the carrying case / charger as purple with pink "cigarettes". I wanted to just do it and do it now before I changed my mind and the vender was out of more "manly man" colors. Fortunately the other two are white and hopefully will suffice for the time being. I'll save the pink for emergencies, those times when I'm willing to kill for a cigarette and won't care if it's pink, green, lavender or yellow.
Thanks for once again allowing me to babble and again thank you for the prompt answers and general encouragement (although it looks like I had 8 hours to wait for an answer anyway). The supportive nature of you folks is in of itself a crutch I may need equally as much as the Ecig.
