Newb question; when to replace coilheads?

Hi guys,

I'm currently vaping with a Janty Clearo (eGO battery with a top-coil clearomizer). How do you guys know when to replace the coilheads? That's not really clear to me as of yet. Are there noticeable 'triggers' that make it clear that a coilhead should be replaced?

Replace them when you determine a burnt taste or the flavor tastes off. This typically is between 10 - 20 days, but can vary greatly by the way your vape.

Remember, a slow gentle draw works best. A harder draw technique can result in gurgling, juice in the mouth, or juice leakage on top of the battery.

Also as a general rule of thumb, juices that are darker, will gunk up your coil and wick faster.

I change the wick when I change flavor, ofc.

I also will change the wicks when I notice that the bottom of level of the juice is starting to get much darker and sludge like compared to new juice. Then it is time for a tank cleaning, and a coil cleaning.

Not to state the obvious, but when one burns out, or if you notice that you are getting very little vapor when you draw on it. Your coils is either dying or very gunked up. If you start tasting a burned or toasted flavor probably a good idea to change it..

Another noob here: Is it just me or does a new coil take some 'breaking in' time? After 4 or 5 days of using a brand new coil I seem to get a significantly higher vape volume and better flavor to boot. This just me??
