On day 6 of not smoking! I used to be a 1 1/2 pack a day smoker. Couldn't have done it without the ecig. I been using a couple 510's from a corner store and a friend loaned me their Ego (joye?) to use. I'm having some issues with them though, I think, in part due to the 100% Veg. glycerine juice being too thick. I tend to puff them like a cigarette, several hits at one sitting. I end up getting a burning feeling in the back of my throat and not very good taste. This happens even when I get quite a bit of vapor. When the Ego hits good, its really good! But it's very inconsistent (maybe 5 good hits for every 20). The cheaper ones are worse. The cartomizers that came with one 510 are basically unusable (and I'm using the company's brand of juice). So I'm concerned about getting a cartomizer now. (I don't like not being able to see how its "not" working.) That one bad hits just totally ruins an otherwise very pleasant experience.

If I don't like the cartomizers , can I buy an atomizers and cartridge to use any battery?

I will try some pg juice (or combo) to see if that helps, but I really find filling them so often is a pain. I'm quite confused at the terminology. It sounds like the ego Twist gets wonderful reviews, but I won't even know what setting to try. I also received some recommendations on cartomizers (the Vision Clearomizer - Version 3) but got confused because they have different resistances. I kind of want something simple and don't want to worry too much about using the wrong charger or matching batteries to atomizers/cartridges.

I don't know yet if I'll continue to vape, I may quit that too eventually, so I don't want to spend a fortune. I was hoping to pick up a kit for around $50. I really don't care about size/color. I just want something that vapes good, consistently and is relatively easy to use. I was wondering if I needed a tank system like this one: eGo-T(Tank) XL Starter Kit ($79.99, a bit more than I'd like to spend, maybe if I could just get one battery) Also what's the deal with so many shops being out of stock on so many items. I could use a recommendation on any shops in the Phoenix, AZ area or good website vendors.

I also was looking at this one (SLB KGO) because of price and the brands of cartomizers offered in the kit: SLB KGO Starter Kit. I need to decide soon before the 510's crap out on me. And I'll need to give back the eGo soon.

Also, of the 3 I'm using 2 of the chargers are don't work properly, one is the eGo. The guy said he was having problems with when he gave it to me. They really seem to be CCC (Cheap China Crap).

Has anyone tried getting a Square Trade warranty on these things?

Suggestions? Sorry to ask so many Q's, but I'm really overwhelmed and wish I had a store to go to.

2 ego twists if you like being able to adjust the volts
or 2 egos
Plus 2 chargers

vivi nova 2.5 to try

Vision Vivi Nova 5ML v2.5

The egos are dirt cheap, the twists allow you to change the voltage so your juice works no matter what. Vivi is great no leak tank--clean the heads and vape. Gotvapes has a mini viv if you want one smaller.

Pretty hassle free--pour juice in... dial best taste volts (if you have an ego twist)... clean heads here and there... repeat... heads are replaceable for $3 if you're too lazy to clean. I'm on day 11 of same heads (0$ spent) with the nova. It does mute your juice flavor a bit...

Vapors-choice sells a ego twist kit for $50 and they are awesome! The clearo tanks that come with them are nice too...

As others have said, go for the twist and get the eGo C atomizer/tank system. Its simple, convenient, and nearly hassle free. Also, if you get deep into vaping as a hobby and find yourself lusting after more "advanced" equipment, you'll still have a nice back up or a good set up for going out and about.

Well, I only found one other website that sold a twist kit and they say they aren't shipping anything this week. I'm surprised since the Twist seems so popular. But I don't see it on the Joyetech website. It must be something retailers put together. I probably need to get a new one real soon. But what!?! The Kgo for $43.99 + $12.99 for a Smok Tech 2.5mL DCT Tanks cartomizer (1.6 - 1.8 ohms). I feel like I need to take a class to learn about these things. That or I need to quit vaping, too.

Arghhhh!!! I find one who has the twists, but then they are out of stock on something else. I'm gonna have to call someone tomorrow and talk to them since if I bought the Twist (2=$50), I would also need a usb and wall charger ($15), vision vivi tank ($12.99), plus don't I need the cone thingy. Do I need more than one vision vivi tank? Yikes, it really adds up! Smoking was less $$$.
