Plarkinjr sir there are countless threads in this subforum pointing out the issues of the condom method. Bumped one of them for you, but here are some of the finer points:
1- wastes juice. If you watch any youtube video showing the how to you'll see how much gets wasted on each fill.
2- can kill both autos and manuals, autos easier though. juice will clog the switch on an auto, the condom method is messy at best. There will be juice remnants on the carto, how much will determine how easily it will kill the auto. If juice runs down into the button on a manual will cause the button to get sticky.
3- as the bumped thread showed can kill the charger and/or batt electrically.

I'm a little late to the party but welcome to the family plarkinjr! It's great to see another Texan round these parts. Like some have said, your taste buds definitely WILL change over the next few months. I've been vaping for over 4 months and mine are still changing -- I initially couldn't live without Wowboy but I recently started to move toward fruit/tobacco blends (like Outlaw Apple mmmmm).
As far as filling cartos, I agree that using the condom fill method simply wastes too much juice. While I've considered using syringes, I personally simply drip into the poly and spin (if needed). In my experience, spinning is only required if the carto is fairly new.

OK, so I've been hearing all of y'all talking about juicing instead of pre-filled cartos. Well, its certainly less convenient, but I can see how it saves, and allows a greater range of options. So, my last order included a box of blanks, No.7, and a drip tip.
***** No. 7 Nobacco Juice USA 18 - (5 of 5 stars)
I did a condom fill of one of the blanks with this juice right away, vaped it and absolutely LOVED it! It is smooth, round, full of tobacco flavor, with a hint of chocolate at the finish. Wife has yet to comment (being exposed to the carmels and cinamon rolls mentioned previously. But given that it reminds me a bit of Wowbacco, she probably will not object. In any case, No.7 is clearly at the top of the list as my "go-to". Maybe something else will find itself surpassing it, but I doubt it will be a while. I've been topping off with this quite a bit. After I have a few more flavors tried, I'll do a side-by-side with this and Wowbacco to confirm. The convenience of pre-filled carto's is hard to beat. This one is going to delay my trying the others.

New vapers are understandably excited yearning to grasp any info they can get their hands on. This method got a lot of hype over a year ago despite the fact that is slow, messy, wasteful, and is responsible for killing tens of thousands of auto batteries and chargers. The worst thing about is there are still some ______ promoting it.
Because there is so much bad and outdated info out there I put together How-to videos to start new vapers on the right track. These videos have been scrutinized by the best and serve as a good resource. As for using the pill bottle for doing a taryn spin....ya..just an fyi......that has been mentioned about 1,000 times already.

Not much to say about this. Its very bland and I was surprised it didnt have more "punch" than coffee.
Its at the bottom of my list because it doesnt do anything for me. If you like subtle, you may love this.
** WOW Choco Caramel Peanut 18
I think this simulates Baby Ruth pretty well. I love that candy bar, but my brain sometimes wants to interpret the peanut in a funny way: at times it says "wood" to me, and other times "compost" (which can have a pleasant aroma). Don't let that scare you though, as of course tastes are different. There is definitely a hint of coffee in the finish too. It is certainly smooth, but there are others I like so much more than this one. Like Cinnamon Roll, I think this is one I'd rather eat than breath.
**** WOW French Vanilla Ice Cream 24
This one is pretty nice. Though I may be giving it more props because of the added nicotine. The vanilla is subtle and about "even" with whatever else it is that makes it "french" and "ice cream" (I cannot really describe or explain those complex aromas). So far this could be worth a repurchase, but again there are others I like better so far.

This one has a hard-hitting hot feel to it. The flavor profile is much more narrow than French Van Ice Cream (which I ranked slightly ahead of this pure Vanilla). I liken this more to "Nilla Wafers" or vanilla bean. It also reminds me of Dairy Queen softserve ice cream. Its pure vanilla and the aroma is very mild. As such, it would probably be a good one for stealth-vaping I think, and warrants consideration for repurchase based on that. It is so mild in terms of flavor, its quite easy to tell when you are about to burn the carto. The carto didn't seem to last as long as most. Possible "dud", or maybe I just loved it so much I didn't realize how quickly I ran thru it.

This is the first coolcart I've tried, and so far I got to say I prefer the warmth of the WOW. Having said that though, this is in my short-list for sure. It is true, unabashed virginia pipe tobacco flavor. My favorite pipe tobacco back when I worked for the Tinder Box in the 80's (college job) was also the most expensive bulk tobacco they sold. I think it was exclusive to them as I've never found it again. It was called "James River" and was aged 20+ years. It was a super dark amber color and burned somewhat hot, but not as harshly as many other Virginians. Well, this CoolCart replicates it very well. The flavor profile is complex and has a bit of twang to it. It reminds me of cheese, probably a sharp cheddar, though "generic flavorful cheese" could also apply. I had this last nite with cabernet, and it was awesome. Stood on its own, and complemented the wine without competing.
I've yet to try the Cappuccino or Cafe Mocha sitting here, and my next order from V4L will probably complete my list of things to try: CoolCart Tobacco Sampler and Col. Caramel juice.

Very interesting. I like Coke better than Pepsi, so I got a higher NIC value to give it a bit more bite. There is definite cola flavor, not sweet. Nic pepper combines to almost make mint as I first interpret it, but cola does step out again at the end. No discernible tobacco flavor.

This one is in my top-10. Its very subtle, like hot waffles and butter, with just the slightest dribble of light syrup. No tobacco flavor, but good TH.
Still need to try White Chocolate sitting here, hopefully saving the best for last!
