So I got the VaporKings Joy510. Good but not giving me the big hit and tons of vap I want. Read about the Jantystick, Screwdriver etc and etc, and since I am a newbie to all of this e-cig stuff I get lost and confused.
I keep reading in the forums and following threads and links to no avail.
I need a KISS type recommendation.
Jantystick or Screwdriver or what?
To all out there with knowledge and experience....
HELP PLEASE.

Many thanks
Jp

Welcome, Shadowtao! What mg are you using?... what pg/vg mix? juice can play a big role in both TH and those clouds of vapor. PG gives more TH. VG gives more vapor. Higher mg gives more TH as well. Most find that a 80/20 mix of PG/VG works fairly well.

As for changing devices, you may want to look at an inexpensive 5v passthru or box mod before laying the money out for a top end model. Higher voltage will definately get you there, but isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Buzz, 5 or 6 volt GLV, big Chuck with a couple RCR123, 3 volt batteries, Tekkon mod, etc.
5 or 6 volts is what you're looking for. I've been pushing the 5 volt GLV lately because I was recently exposed to it and was impressed with it's quality and performance. I think 5 volts works best with regular attys and cartos.

Before you go buying a new PV, try a few juices for refilling, try dripping. I know my sweet little Trilogy (super mini) was okay but not great as it came in the starter kit, but with my own refills or dripping- it rock. Dropped analogs cold, no effort to it, my Trilogy is simply better than any analog ever was.

No nasy withdrawls, no even wanting an analog, just my good Trilogy with my pick of juice.

I need a KISS type recommendation.
Try a juice with more VG in it, or just add some VG to the juice you have.
The more VG in the juice the more vapor you're going to get.

Then get a 5 volt passthrough, if still needed, to try higher voltage vaping.
If you wind up liking that, then you can start looking for which mod you want to get.

If neither of the above work for you, come back and tell us what issues you're having.

My 6 volt HV901 smoked like crazy compared to my 510 battery, the vape was hotter, the TH was undeniable, the flavor was slightly burnt. And since I was thinking "I need a CIG" it all worked great. It hammered the coffin nail I needed hammered. IMO mods are the only way to go. The variable mods out now are absolutely a no brainer, one set of batteries, and endless possabilities with all the basics available in what ever model ecig products you purchase.

You may need something with a little more kick.

In order to see if higher voltage is for you, you can try an unregulated passthrough (which will take you up to 5v), or an LR atty, which isn't necessarily higher voltage, but it's a good simulation of the experience.

If you dig that, then you know what you're looking for. You can buy a box mod on the cheap, or you can get into some of the more specialized mods, like the GLV, or the variable voltage Buzz, or the Chuck (3.7v or 6v, depending on what batteries you use), etc.

I have been vaping just under a month and have already purchased a 3.7 mod and an inexpensive 5 volt box mod after using my 510's for only a few days.

My first mod seemed great, but after trying the 5 volt, I won't be going back... should have just saved all the money and bought something adjustable (like the Buzz) to begin with - I have a Precious L v2 with Juice dispenser on order now.

I just bought the Prodigy V3 from puresmoker.com and I am really liking it. Like you I started with the smaller 510s and decided it was not what I wanted so I went to Vapefest and asked tons of questions and checked out some mods and decided on the V3. It comes in a kit set up for 6 volts but you can buy the extra battery to use it with 3.5 volts.

BTW they did fix the rattle, mine does not rattle at all.
