I've read everything I could find and watched a few videos, but I'm still having some paranoia about filling my own cartos. I just got my shipment from Blue Mist vaping and filled a carto with the sample flavor they sent me. I put around 20 drops in there and it looked like it was well saturated, and even seemed like it didn't want to take any more, so I put it on the battery and no vapor came out, even worse it immediately gave me a burnt taste. So, rather than ditched the now ruined carto I decided to try to fill it right so I'd know for next time (it was free juice anyhow) so I added more until there was a visible pool that didn't go away on top of the filler and it seemed to vape fine, still tasted very burnt of course.
For the next one, I filled until I little bit dripped out of the bottom and dried it off and it worked fine. I was a bit paranoid that I would overfill and ruin my V2 automatic battery though so I kept blowing through it and wiping the excess. That one worked absolutely flawless, it was their Smooth flavor it tastes great!
I filled two more with flavors I ordered using the same method of dripping juice in until it started dripping out the bottom, I was paranoid about ruining the battery by overfilling, but also paranoid about ruining the carto by under dripping. So I also let it set for about 20-30 minutes to make sure it all soaked in good. When I put one of the two freshly filled cartos on my battery, I instantly got plenty of vapor, but it has a burnt taste (it was fresh carto, not the one I burnt) I don't know if the carto is burnt, or if I just need to let the juice seep, or let the carto soak even longer, or what. Something that seems so simply now seems like rocket science that I will never be sure about. Any advice for newbies on the proper amount to fill a carto? I don't want to try this fourth flavor and burn a carto, and I don't know if the third one is burnt or the juice is just bad (it's cherry cheesecake flavored)
