as I write this I am still waiting for my Blu to get delivered. I did alot of researching and everything I saw and read pointed to Blu being a good ecig to start with. I ordered it on the 22nd of June, and their tracking number comp says its still in GA as of the 26th. ( rolls eyes) now I am not so sure about this company.

I did further research and sadly learned the blu verse 510. How many feel blu is crap and how they went to a 510 and was happy.

thing is that most of these people used commercial smokes, while I roll my own with tubes. I use American spirit and pack my tubes pretty lose compared to a commercial smoke, which I can hardly use...too hard to draw on.

Once I am a full member here I hope to join the blu area of this forum.

in the mean time...I am also currently looking for favor choices for a newbie to ecigs. which I might stay away from while being pointed towards ones I might look into trying out.

I want to jump into this with both feet and not go back to analog smokes once I get my kit.

I am a fairly new vaper, and Blu was my first ecig kit.

I hope the Blu works for you, but I was very disappointed. The battery life was a joke, and I found I would only get a few good puffs off each cartridge.

Anyway, the good news is that Blu has a 30-day money back guarantee, so if you aren't happy, you can easily switch.

I just ordered the Joye eGo (improvement over the 510) from NicotineNirvana.com, which I should get by tomorrow. The Joye eGo has gotten universally rave reviews from members of this forum.

By the way, if you order the Joye eGo kit by July 4 from NicotineNirvana.com, you can get the kit for $57.23 including shipping by using coupon code 74egoECF

thank you for the welcome

the more I read the more my head swims... 510 901? if it burns hot less flavor more TH, cooler more flavor...

I think my head is going to blow... there seems to be tons of e-cigs out there for just about every taste and need.. which is great..but after reading the reviews, guides etc here...my head is hurting.

I just wish my blu would get here so I can start and then decide where to go from this point. I have e-juice coming from Johnson creek ( sample pack) I also think there is a local place up here in Washington state ( over in lynnwood) that sell e-juice and e-cigs that I could go and take a look at some of these other e-cigs before going for one of those.

This may sound silly but I keep having this craving for the e-cig even though I don't have it yet. I keep thinking..wow if I only had my e-cig I would not have to deal with the smell any more, maybe my throat would not burn after smoking, no more ....'s .....

ok well back to reading some more..I will check out each of those that you guys have posted here as choices besides the blu

thank you!!

Hi El, and greetings!

If you haven't read the following threads, highly recommend that you do while you're waiting for your Blu (first one is 6 parts but well worth you time)

If you're thinking eGo, you might want to consider Riva. I'm an eGo fanatic, but just received my Rivas yesterday...and I must say that I am really impressed! Ordered it because of great reviews, looks, and price. Larger battery capacity, better button (lighted), all hardware cross compatible with eGo, substantially cheaper, and very gorgeous. I'll be testing it when my new juice order comes in tomorrow. Check out VaporJunction's prices...simply incredible!

Best of luck to you El!

I'm not to new. i did so much reading about ecigs and reviews before i bought mine that i about went blind, lol. Blu has bad reviews as far as shipping and products. they were my first choice till i read about them. after that and days later i found volcano ecigs, not a bad company and they have a good community forum. though this place is hands down the best place for info.
you can't go wrong with either the 510 or 901, stick with either of those to for the atty.
the big problem you will have is CONSTANTLY charging batteries. get one with a high mAh.
mAh, in non-tech terms, is the life of the charge when you are using it.

totally wicked sells some killer ecigs. i bought some nic juice from them and came quick. a friend of mine only buys from them and i wouldn't doubt that she has thousands of dollars worth of their products.

Hi fellow washingtonian. I don't recommend buying from the local smoke shops or mall kiosks as they are overpriced. I have a friend who bought an e-health cig kit locally and paid over 30.00 for it. I can buy the same one online for less than 10.00 but I wouldn't want to when I can get better kits like the Ego.

My first ecig was the Blu. I enjoyed it, but it didn't really produce enough vapor and the carts kindof a pain to try and refill, because I'm assuming the manufacturer wants you to purchase their prefilled carts. The packaging is very nice, and you get a fairly decent amount for what you're paying for. I actually just received my 510 today and the difference is like night and day. I'd really recommend purchasing a manual ecig, and from a manufactuer that sells carts that are easier to refil. The being said, it's a good starter product, and any manual or auto is better than smoking analogs. It's all about person preference, and I deffinitely like the 510 better

Also, there is really no reason why you should go through any intense discomfort during your transition to vaping. A common story you'll hear is like mine: I didn't even try to quit smoking. I just tried to vape more and smoke less. Kept my smokes farther away from me than my e-cig. After about 3 or 4 weeks I was down from 3 packs of Kools per day to 2 to 4 cigs per day. Sometime in Jan I realized I hadn't had one in a couple of weeks, and didn't want one. Easy! I don't even know my "quit date", and I don't care.

yes I have read both, which is why my head is swimming. I am still trying to figure things out like with the eGo. when I looked it up the eGo is put out by Joye, which also makes the Joye510 right?
I am still learning which batts are better with what atty's and what cartages will work with what..( head swims)
how interchangeable things are is what I am struggling to learn.

Hi ya rosesense nice to see another WA peep here, I will join the NW steampunks as soon as I am released from "newbie" land.
The only thing I would want to by from a local smoke shop is e-juice if I run out or batt or attys if I am in deep need. Other wise I know this will all be mail order. I saw that there is a place in lynnwood but have not checked them out as far as prices and what they have for emergency situations till I get orders in.

I see all these brans of e-cigs listed on your signature. have you tried all of them out?
also hopefully my Blu will be delivered to day, I can't wait to start!!

Once I am a full member here I hope to join the blu area of this forum.

    Hey El,

You don't need 5 posts to read the Blu forum, you just can't post there yet. Anyway the last post there was June 28th and the one prior to that was June 21st. The new members forum is much more active, and thus more informative, regardless of which brand you're interested in.

    Welcome, and Good Luck!

I know this next question will open a can of worms but, I figured it should be ask of those of you who are in the "know" the vape vets

    is all 510 the same?
and yes I have read and searched this board till my eye bleed
but I am having problems picking a place to order one from.
some are cheaper others cost more but they all look the same.

    are they?

also a question on carts. some come with an atty some don't...do the ones that do come with a atty built in last as long as the others?
seems there is carts with attys for the 510.

coz what I am thinking of is getting a 510, possibly using Cartomizers rather than the atty/cart combo and maybe looking at a automatic battery? or should I stay with manual?

    opinion's? possible other combos?

I totally agree with what Portguy said. Once you get your Blu's you will want to try other models and the 901 and 510 are the models I chose and prefer. I know everyone is raving about the new eGo but to me they are too big and cumbersome for my own personal preference, although Son likes them. I prefer the look and feel to be close to a Analog cigarette, not a stogie..... but again, it's all about what looks/feels good to you. ;-)

Welcome to the forum and happy vaping.

Check the forum supplier list for a reputable supplier send them a pm/email/or most have some type of chat feature on their website and will help you out. I don't know all the answers to what you ask but as far as I know... not all 510s are the same, some are Joye 510 and some are knock offs (which tend to be cheaper). Cartomizers are meant to be used for 3-6 refills (I think - I don't use them). Some people prefer automatic batteries and some like the manuals. I prefer manual gives me better control.
    I would recommend a KR808D, ego or a MOD.
Best of luck - there is a bit of a learning curve in the beginning but the best advice I can give is read as much as you can! :vapor:
