HaHa! The LAST thing a new vaper should do is buy in bulk! That can turn into a very expensive mistake, so it's something best put off until you know _exactly_ what you are doing. I remember being annoyed that some info wasn't talked about much in the New Members section, like there were secrets only the "in crowd" knew about. Now I realize that the more experienced members knew better than to tell noob-me about some things... it would have been like handing a pistol to a chimp, :D

Save yourself time and money. Use one of the bulk suppliers like madvapes. good stuff, good price. No need for name brand equipment in my opinion. Get a chuck and some 510´s and you are good to go for months.

I checked out madvapes.com, and their prices don't seem very great to me. I mean, not bad, but nothing special. Check out the non-liquid prices on TastyVapor.us. Best I've seen! :)

... the Joye eGo (improvement over the 510)

I started with a 510, ordered the eGO couple weeks later, did not like it as much as the 510. eGO had more vapor, tasted sweeter. 510 tasted better to me. But personally, I don't care for any sweet taste in my vapor. I also seem to be discovering that I like PG better than VG. Just my personal experience, you may differ.

That's interesting. I didn't know that the type of PV can affect the sweetness of the vapor. That would seem to be a function of the juice used, but what do I know.

I agree with you about the VG. I tried Prosmoke last week (sent it back), which uses 100% VG carts. When it worked (another story), it had tons of thick vapor, but absolutely zero TH and minimal flavor. Tasted like... pure water vapor. Nothing.

Pure PG liquids seem a bit harsh for my taste, so I think that some blend would be perfect, like 80% PG and 20% VG.

Well, part of the fun is all the experimentation!

Yep, tried all of those in my signature plus a couple others:) 510's are different from different suppliers but I haven't had any that I was disappointed with and I have owned about 6 different ones. I really recommend just buying the ego/clone now that prices have dropped on them. They are just a 510 with way better battery life. Do get a manual, I think you will be happier with it in the long run. Unless you have to keep your hands free for your job in which case an automatic would fit the bill.

I recommend Tasty Vapor for great prices on starter kits, 510 or Ego. Feel free to pm me with any questions about the mods/ecigs I have owned.

yes I have read both, which is why my head is swimming. I am still trying to figure things out like with the eGo. when I looked it up the eGo is put out by Joye, which also makes the Joye510 right?
I am still learning which batts are better with what atty's and what cartages will work with what..( head swims)
how interchangeable things are is what I am struggling to learn.

Hi ya rosesense nice to see another WA peep here, I will join the NW steampunks as soon as I am released from "newbie" land.
The only thing I would want to by from a local smoke shop is e-juice if I run out or batt or attys if I am in deep need. Other wise I know this will all be mail order. I saw that there is a place in lynnwood but have not checked them out as far as prices and what they have for emergency situations till I get orders in.

I see all these brans of e-cigs listed on your signature. have you tried all of them out?
also hopefully my Blu will be delivered to day, I can't wait to start!!

I recieved my Blu and JC sample pack the day before yesterday. It took a few hours to break in the atomizers, then it worked ok. Works quite a bit better with the Johnsons Creek. I also ordered the Joye 510 and think it will be much better.

The key to the blu seems to be one short primer drag and then take a longer slow drag for the throat hit. Battery life does suck, but isn't a show stopper. The case does a good job charging the battery. You have to remember the blu is about the size of an analog cig, so the battery is small.

I love my JC sample kit. After you smoke the Java Jolt that comes with the blue, add some expresso from the JC kit and you will be in heaven.

Hi and welcome from another newbie. I think the Blu is a good start, it was also my first e-cig purchase. It's a good induction into what e-cigs are about but you will ultimately go for something with more beefy vapor production. All the advice on this forum is sterling so pay attention and I'd also like to say that once you go for a manual e-cig you won't look back. Happy Vaping
