And this is one reason why i'm considering the mini - even tho battery life IS important, I would not mind carrying around an xtra battery. I am disabled, and work from home, most of my outside jaunts consist of dr appts, light shopping, and the gym for some physical therapy. i do chain vape tho, so for someone like me, approx. how many hours would I get out of the mini reo battery at one sitting??
Thanks All! Jill

I'd say around 4 hours.

I carry two freshly charged batteries for the 9 hours I'm at work, with a couple of hours left from the night before on the one actually in the mini. Mlinky's 4 hour estimate is right in line with what this chain vaper gets with a LR 2 ohm atomizer. I also carry a little liquid as well, and top off midafternoon. The 3 mls would last til I got home, but I just find squonking is easier when the bottle is more than half full.

Looks like i'm seeing on the forums that the batteries for minis are not in stock anywhere at this point . . . does this type of thing happen often? That would be scary to have a mini with no battery!!!! Obviously, this will be the first PV i've considered, that does not come in a "kit" - and to be quite honest, all the info/instructions/things to order are a bit overwhelming, or is it just stupid ole me??

The batteries get scarce right after Rob has a sale on Mini mods. They should be available again from U.S. vendors around the second week of August.

And yeah, finding and absorbing all the relevant info is daunting at first, but well worth your time if your goal is to cut back or quit smoking.

Rob has his reasons for not selling them as all inclusive kits. There's a stickied thread that is very helpful for directing potential Reonauts of what they will need and where to buy.

Hi Jill! :)
No...you're not stupid. For us its "old hat" so we forget what it is like for those who haven't been around watching the development of the industry. Eventually, I think you will see most things you need with these pvs available from REOsmods.com However, this is a small business that is in growth. Started as one guy building a mod for himself and sharing it with friends. REOsmods isn't a normal retailer like the bigger general e-cig shops. So it is understandable for you to look at it and feel uncomfortable. We as a group have provided all the information you find here as a way to help others sort through it easily instead of having to read every thread...but we're learning as we go too! :D As we go along we will be adding more information and refining it, to help everyone get the information they need. Up until recently, the AW IMRs were in stock all the time, it seemed. But as the industry grows, so too, must the battery supply. I'm sure this won't be a normal occurrance. Besides, you can use other 14500 batteries...its just that the AW IMR are the recommended batteries. I hope this helps settle your concerns. :)

I definitely want to quit the analogs for EVER, so i will keep on reading. I have read all the sticky threads, and i guess that's why i'm on iinfo overload right now . . . sounds like i should start slowly stocking up on all the pieces parts, before I even order the pv!!!! Actually, I can't even get the reomods page to fully load - it gets stuck every time i go there, i can only get to the ordering page, but not any of the "info" pages.
Since money is an issue, ordering things a little at a time may just work best for me!

thanks all . . ..

Good grief, NO, it's not just you! I cruised along using "set" pvs for nearly two years, because they were keeping me off cigs. I learned how to keep them going and such, but didn't need to deal with the foreign language of electronics. I bless the early-adopters who got into the mod world way ahead of me and who generously share their knowledge and experience so that I can stick my toes in by matching the way and what I vape with their recommendationns.

Oh, almost forgot...word is that the batteries should hit vendors in the US in about a week.

Thanks melissa, for easing my mind a bit . . . and yes mudflap, i own an ego, several atty's plenty of juice, and I prefer FSUSA mega cartos right now!

Jill

Well then... you aren't totally lost. :thumb:

Rhapsodies Fire, mlinky, and nerak are all Mini mod owning/using ninjas and are all three super helpful and friendly. If you get to the point where you just need someone to tell you what to buy and where to buy it, I'd suggest sending a PM to one of those nice ladies. They won't steer you wrong.

thanks again all for your info and your PATIENCE!! lol . . .
I did read that cartos will fit on the minis, does this include the eGo mega cartos?

Jill

No go with the eGo mega cartos on the Reo. They attach to the outside threads on an eGo type battery. The same threads that you would screw on a cone.

Reo mods accept attys and cartos with 510 threads.

Edit: It might work with one of these adapters, but I don't know if the base of the carto would clear the top of the reservoir or fit inside it.

I don't have any of the cartos that you use, Jill, but I'm sure I have some regular 510 cartos around here and they're brand new.

If you decide to get the mini, I can send you some cartos, a charger that will charge both the 14500's and 18650's and I also have a couple of extra batteries too.

All you gotta do is shoot me a pm, give me your address and I'll send them down your way when you're ready! :)
