Hello,
Just this month I've been learning about E-Cigs. Most of my info and products have come from my great son! He started me off with two eGo-C Twists and a hand full of different juices. Thank goodness because after I read thru this forum for a few days I was completely lost! I've had no problem at all changing over to vaping, after smoking over the last 40 years off and on but never more than 5-10 each day. That may be some of the reason why my change over was almost instant. My only set back is learning all the new terminology.

Welcome to ECF. Ego twist is a good one I think. The Variable Voltage is handy as sometimes you have trouble finging a specific ohms atty you need. Also you can control to some degree how much vapor you get. For an idea of what you want you want a watts rating (just like a light bulb) between 4-8 watts. To many watts and you burn the juice and shorten the life of you atomizer (atty). To little and you just don't get the vapor. Here is the chart I use.http://s1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii543/delanos53/?action=view&current=vapingchart_zpsa7e4c921.jpg
Also the more watts the quicker the battery will drain.
I've done my tech nerd thing I'll let someone else take it from here.
Again great that you have gotten off the Tobacco (analog).
I'm vaping Maple cured bacon right now and am getting hungry. LOL
Enjoy

Welcome aboard, Mom!!!

Welcome Desertpeach! Is she really your mom Smoot? I'll have to add her to my (currently very short) list of reno/sparks members. I hope that maybe someday we can have a mini vape meet to show off our gear and perhaps exchange juices. I've become a bit disenchanted with our local store (the one in Sparks). I've found many more choices, at lower prices, online. I initially thought paying tax would offset the shipping costs, but I haven't found that to be the case - their base prices are far too high.

And another thing, as long as I'm venting, is why they won't let you try a couple of drips of a flavor before you buy it. They'll give you a new bottle of something to test for them, but no trying what they have in stock. I can understand ordering something online and crossing your fingers hoping you'll like it, but it seems counterintuitive in a brick & mortar store; like Macy's asking you to buy a perfume without smelling it. I can't imagine it would upset their profit margin to have one little bottle of each flavor for customers to try.

I'm done now (I can't seem to find a "get's off soapbox emoticon")

Yes she is!!!
I hear you on the local store, they come in handy for those "need it now" situations.

Hi there - its nice to hear from other folks in Northern Nevada. I am in Carson City, but if there ever was a vape meet in Reno I might go.

Love to vape!:vapor:
