right after I left the hospital.
35 yrs of smoking - 2 packs a day -
Cold turkey thanks to vapor !!

Welcome to ecf. Same here--minus the hosp part. As soon as I picked up the ecig that was it for me. No more cigs. LOL

I was surprised at how easy it was for me. But I had been trying to quit for quite a while, so I was ready. Nothing else worked, and I tried it all.
So, 3 1/2 yrs later---still going strong.

Welcome to the forum Beeb. I was almost in the same boat after my last surgery in november. Lungs hurt, standard smokers hacking and wasn't bouncing back. You've found a great place for support and advice.

Thing is, I loved my smoke, after all these years. I was healthy, didn't cough, still liked it, could afford it, and the hubby .....ed constantly about quitting and I said YOU DO IT, I'm not ready. I wasn't ready, nor able, didn't think it would ever happen quite honestly. If it weren't for vaping, I don't know what I would have done. Amazing, utterly amazing way to quit cold turkey.
