I wonder, if you disassemble the parts and label some random stuff on them like, "stationary" would they be able to figure out its a e-cig, maybe they would think its technical electronics stuff and just check that its not dangerous and get past the SG customs? or do they have experts opening up the import packages to inspect them?

It is better to disassemble them..Unless your product is the type which look like a cigarette. On the other hand, you can get a mod that do not resemble a cigarette at all... We need a chemist to have a DIY liquid here...Even with a good mod, no liquid means no vapor...

You do not have to do this sort of thing to Cheat the Government. if your package get detain, it will go to HSA, just tell them that is e-Cig, let them check if they allow your package.

Just order them and ship to ur house.

Janty eGo is not Contraband. Refer to Law Section 16-1

But if it is Ban, i and my friends would not be using the eGo for more than 8 months.

If u wanna order, let me know

Hey guys! I'm from Malaysia and am really sad to read about what's going on with vaping in Singapore. It seems that the powers-that-be are trying to do the same thing here in Malaysia.

I like the advice given by Zeroi. Basically, if your device doesn't resemble an analog ciggy, the good people working at our customs departments don't have a clue as to what it is. Have it delivered to you marked as electronics.

As for juice, why not try blending your own. That's what I do and it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. The ingredients aren't that difficult to come by....just check out the DIY ejuice section for more information! Feel free to get in touch with me if you need any advice :)

Due to many people got their items stuck at customs pending clearance or non at all, make people resort to disassemble or "smuggle". You can say yourself lucky that they(HSA) let you get your items back. Most of them didn't get their items thus spending $$ without receiving their products. See my point? Items not resembling/represent tobacco product will most probably get through, of course marked as electronic parts/mechanical parts... :)

Hi Tommyn. Welcome to ECF! Let us know when/how you get your kit. I'm sure there's a way. I might transit in SG to TH. Waiting for my confirms. Only reason I found out about e-cig was I searched Changi smoking lounges map for the Int'l terminals, hehe. Now I might not need to use those rooms anymore. :)

So sad,so true. We are now following the same path under obama.obama, for some reason is toxic to the stock market,I halve lost a of money that I had in stock,I wanted to take 40,000 and put it under my pillow, but my ma and pa are my brokers and they say hold! Good grief, hope they are right!

Isn't that a signal for BUY? :p

I understands how u feel. I really do. since u are in my SG Vaper Group, u have to see that how i actually got it back. hence is not easy in the first stage for many. but now i think seriously knowing the law and not trying to go around it but trying to go with it and sometime u have to know how to go against it. Better watch out for Wall, Don't just bang into it. Follow me. and i lead u the way.

Thanks, but i think i like the Janty Liquid for now as it have been tested in Overseas and i have no Problem bringing in the liquid for now except that i cannot sell it. LOL
By the way, marking them as Electronics parts, that won't help. When Custom Check, they use X-Ray, so if the Package have Battery and look like e-Cig, it will just get held up by the Customs and send to HSA for investigation.

That's why I mentioned that it might be worthwhile to use a PV that doesn't look like a cig at all. When my REO mod was shipped to me, I had to pick it up at customs. They had no idea what it was. I didn't lie....just told them it was a personal vaporizer. They looked at each other, looked at it, shrugged their shoulders and let me go :)

Then again, it's common knowledge that the customs here in Malaysia are a liiiiiiiiittle more inept than those in Singapore!

If you're looking for high quality overseas juice vendors, have a look at freedomsmokeUSA. Those guys are nothing short of spectacular!

True, There is nothing much to lie. For my Case, i told them that the eGo is from Janty and of cos nowadays internet very fast, so i guess might as well tell them that is manufacture from a E-Cig company and i was afraid at first. but later i remember that law section 16-1. so they actually tell me that my e-Cig or so call vaporizer is ok.

Because of most look like cigarette, that's the reason got stuck at custom. My mod is a GGTS, so when it was sent to me, I asked them to disassemble because they are mechanical without any electronic to fail me during usage. Marked them as mechanical parts. Of course they are mechanical machined parts made from aluminium and so, I got them sent to my doorstep :). Abit steep in the pricing but it is worth it... :)

@icemangrafx: The GGTS is kinda steep! It looks quite huge as well. How do you bring it out?

I dismantle it. Of course, vaping it at 3.7V without the AVS. Using cartos/dripping. It is actually not that big. Very nice to hold & use...Very versatile. Been using it with LR510. Nice adjustable draw..Plenty of vapor :)

There is a lot of good and encouraging information in this thread! It's really good to see there's someone who knows and can successfully argue the law in our favor on this subject.

@hairball: I've been to singapore's health ministry website a couple of times. Their rationale for prohibiting e-cigs is because WHO and FDA do not approve of them. Logically, it doesnt make sense. Even if trace amounts of cancer causing elements have been found in e-liquid before, I believe these trace amounts are much less harmless than the carcinogens found in analog cigs. So why is it that these international organizations have the right to use this as grounds to frown upon e-cigs? Similarly, alcohol has been ranked above ....... and ......... as a dangerous drug. But alcohol is still readily available. Sadly, it takes generations to convert the mindset of these organizations. However, I believe that once either the US govt or FDA or WHO caves in, a domino effect will transcend and bans will be lifted all around the world.

Hi!Im new here, and how I wished I stumble upon this forum and do more research on the net before I order an e-cig from the states! It has just been shipped out last week, and I was eagerly anticipating it, BUT now I know that it will be confiscated by ICA because Singapore puts ban on the thing! I am SOOOOO UPSET! And here I was hoping that the devise would help me quit smoking!

Hi! Newbie here from Singapore as well! Glad i found this forum through google before i made a purchase of my first e-cigg. :)
Anyone here mind telling me how i can get my e-cigg safely delivered to my house without it getting confiscated by HSA or Customs? I'm really interested in trying it and hopefully i can quit smoking with the help of it. Sorry if i post this in the wrong place. :/

or maybe, i can order it part by part, batteries first, then atty, then the cart and then the juice. will that work? :/
