Hello, I figure I would do a basic intro. I currently have been on Safecigs(please forgive me) for around 3 years and they are always out of stock, way too expensive, and possibly going out of business. I do like the vape I get from them but I'm sure there are a ton more better ways. I have been lurking here for the past few days and been hearing alot about the ego. I have alot to learn and would like to vape with a similar device as my current safecig one. Criticism is welcome! Later, David V.

Welcome to the forum.

Wow 3 years on safecigs! You've got a world of fun ahead of you with all the variants of an ecig talked about on this forum.

I went from cig sized to eGos about 2 months after I started vaping. You will need to think through what you want to put on it to feed juice or drip and what style of atomizer/cartomizer you might want. So keep reading before the next step. If you don't want to think too much about it you can get the ego batteries and use cartomizers on them that you fill yourself. That would be an easy transition for you.

If you like the cigarette size, there are less expensive more available and probably better vaping alternatives as well. Check out SmokelessImage.com or Vapor4life.com.

Ask questions or tell us more about what you like in an ecig to get the best help.

Hello newbie from TN. I'm one of your neighbors from the North. Hope you fine what your looking for. I started about a month ago with Volt V2 starter kit (probably donate it to a relative) and waiting on my ego C twist which is to arrive sometime next week, per overwhelming recommendations. For the price and for what it does (VV), you can't really go wrong, less than a carton of analogs.

Thanks, I also left out some valuable info. The safecig is the only ecig I have been on and have not tried any other. The things I like about it is that it is kind of like a regular cigarette. I like the traditional taste and 24mg of nicotine. I like the prefilled cartridges probably because I am afraid that I will mess filling my own up. I like the hit I get from them and the vapor is warm. The things I hate is 7 prefilled cartridges cost $17.50 and I go through 2-3 cartridges a day. Thats $9 a day. They say their cartridges last 200-300 puffs which is bogus. Also, the battery doesn't last to long. Here are some pics of my rotating batteries and chargers.

That's similar to what most of us started out with. If you move up to something bigger you can get up to 2 days from one charge. If you don't mind charging I would go with the volt from smokless image. Also you should watch this video on how to refill cartos. 17.99 is highway robery. You can get 30 mls or more of liquid for that price and refill about 25 or more times times. It's really easy. I promise.

Batteries are measured in miliamp hours or mAh. The stick style or cig-a-likes are usually 180 mAh or so. Basically 1 hour of life = 100mAh. The eGo 650mAh pretty equal to t he size of the cig a like, just fatter. This eGo battery also comes with the most widely used connection atop. The 510 connection. Just like your cartridges screw on to your battery is the same way these work, you can get cartridges, or little tanks and all kinds of things. I use a tank with my ego battery while I m at work and I never have to worry about charging or running out of juice. Then when I get home I can fiddle fart around with it or whatever.

How much of a smoker were you? Because it seems like now you're spending about $10 a day, granted you're not smoking and that's Good good part, you're still the same as buying two packs a day and you can get better vapes for significantly less money.

OOps sorry about the late reply. Yeah, I smoked quit a bit. Probably around two packs if not more. I still am smoking Marlboros but from around 2packs to 2 cigarettes a day. Also thanks Dana for the link and everbody for the nice welcome and replies. Now time to soak up some of this knowledge and take a few puffs off the ecig!
