Just got my first genesis style rba, an aga-t2(3 4 (?)wrap with 32g wire), and paired with my first mech mod, an n-zonic v2 (running on 18350).

Long time carto/carto tank user, and the flavor is better, as is the vapor, but the performance so far has not been "blow it away" better - does it just take time to learn how to build/use the genesis style rbas to get the performance so many rave about?

The old adage practice makes perfect is almost close to home on this subject. The more time you spend building mesh wicks and coils the better you get. When I first started using rba's it was chaotic, great hit followed by molten metal(hot spot). That was 3 to 4 months ago. Now I get my hot spots worked out, fill with juice and vape away. Haven't found anything better for quality of flavor or vapor. Its a big learning curve or at least it was for me, but I just kept watching videos and figured out a routine that works for me. Im sure if you stick with it you will be pleasantly surprised.

Nothing beats using something you can say " hey I built this wick and coil " satisfaction at its finest.

Just built my aga t 2 yesterday. I am a new genny user too. I watched vids on it for a month before I built it. My first coil ca,e out at 2.4 ohms. it was ok but I broke it wiping excess juice off my deck. So I built my second one and it came out at 1.4 ohms. I am running it at 8 watts on my vamo and I am whaling through the juice. Now I want to try out twisted wire to cut my resistance in half. I will have to run it on my bolt with an aw imr 18490 with a fuse. I need to get a dremmel to make my wire. it is all so new to me but I have now officially started my journey into the world of genisis. My supplier has the smok rsst coming in soon. that was the one I wanted to start on but we got things bass ackwards. This has been a fun and awesome experience!! Thanks ECF!!

Lemme tell you.. after spending the last twenty four hours straight building coils and wicks - when you finally get "the right one" something changes. For the record I have about... 2,000 clearos and cartotanks for sale :p

Really its all about practice. I've worked with circuitry and small electronic devices my whole life, and my girlfriend is a jeweler so the two of us together had the AGA firing on all cylinders in about 6-7 hours. So now that we're at level 5 (out of 6,000) and there is nothing better. I just want my bloody ZAP to come already - they're so damned pretty.

For the record I'm a bit 'old school' when it comes to LR vaping. For me LR is around 1.5ohms which is where I usually aim to get my tanks set up and the product is, well, divine.

I would like to point out that i called it; about 3 months ago after i started getting very comfortable with my Gennies, i wrote all over the forum that RBAs and mech mods were the direction in which the vaping world would develop, and that very soon the length of time it took for newbies to jump into RBAs will get drastically shortened. Most people disagreed. Well... What now!!? :D
