Hi everyone,

I have been trolling these forums for a while and especially since getting my 901 and all the accessories last week. I have a few problems, though, and I'm having trouble finding any similar situations on the forum already...so here goes.

1) I started with 6mg and that wasn't enough nicotine. So last week I ordered some 11mg in both PG and VG forms (figured I should try both options). PG itches my throat really bad/ sometimes even burning it. The VG isn't nearly as bad, really smooth most of the time. It does still dry out my throat though, and this can make vaping uncomfortable especially if I'm nic'ing...and yes, I am drinking water. Any thoughts? Does this go away? Is it just worth dealing with becauses its still better than smoking?

2) Even with the VG being smoother...and i know this will probably raise some eyebrows at me...but...i'm actually frustrated by how much vapor I produce. I mean, its actually an obnoxiously large amount. I was so excited about vaping in a restaurant, at school, in the movie theater, at the store, etc...but there is literally a huge vaper cloud that just hangs in the air...thick. Ironically, the PG liquid didnt do this as bad. And whats worse is it makes my eyes itch, and it bothers my husband's throat (he never smoked, non smoker) and I think my dogs even run from it... I dont want to even do this at my friends houses..let alone in public. Whats going on? It seems like most people can't get enough vapor and here I am feeling constrained by it!

3) I couldnt wait to get the black tea flavor after reading so many reviews...but honestly with the PG liquids I have I can hardly tell the difference between their smells/tastes (except menthol and RY4)...and they all have this weird stink, even the menthol. The only VG flavor I have is menthol, but I have RY4 on the way so I guess we'll see how that goes. I have used 2 different suppliers at this point, both with great reviews. Is it just because my taste buds havent "come back" yet? Why am I not getting the wonderful taste experience most people seem to love?

:confused::confused::confused:

Thank you for answering my questions. I knew this would be a lot of learning and fiddling and experimenting...but I keep feeling like the expectation I got from trolling here and watching all the youtube videos just isn't what I'm personally getting and I don't know why. I've overfilled way too many cartridges and gotten fluid in my mouth, I've underfilled and never gotten the right drag (or was it the battery dying?)...urgh.

Thanks in advance for any advice. It is much appreciated. :rolleyes:

Maya--it is common with some people to have issues with PG and the switch to VG should take care of that ---just drink more water like you have been and it should abate. If not, I would appear that both PV and VG are not in the cards and those are the only 2 options. It usually settles down after you switch to VG so give it a little time

As for too much vapor--that can happen if there is too much VG in the mix---sounds like you should thin it out a little with distilled water or vodka.

Your taste buds will improve with time, but also there are some e-liquids that lack in the flavor department--so try a few different flavors from different suppliers-----Sun

A sampler pack of flavors is really the best way to start. Everyone's taste buds and pv's are different. As for too much vaper, try holding it in longer or even take an extra inhale of breath after inhaling. I get good vaper and if I do this I could vape in church without getting caught

It is possible that the PG is causing irritation. Some vapers find they get relief from their symptoms by switching to VG-based liquids. Good move on your part. Let your body be your guide. If you seem to have trouble with the VG, seek medical advice.

You are so lucky. Lots of forum members would love to have your problem. Unfortunately, you cannot have the best of both worlds. If PG bothers you, VG is the only fallback. VG does produce more and thicker vapor than PG, as you well know. Maybe shorter draws will prodcue less vapor, or holding it in a few seconds longer to allow the vapor to dissapate more.

There have been a growing number of posts recently related to lack of flavor in e-liquids. This may be a result of a fast-growing number of new members on the forum. Everyone is different and so are their tastes. It may be that some folks just never will like e-liquid flavors. The further you are away from analogs, the better your sense of taste and smell may become. Perhaps flavors will 'grow on you'. BTW, Liquid Express has a nice Black Tea Flavor.
