propylene glycol vs. vegetable glycerine dryness?

I've been vaping strictly PG based eliquid. I haven't had any bad reactions but sometimes if I vape a lot my throat and sinuses get kind of dried out.

It's more apparent this week because I have a cold.

Would VG or a combination of PG/VG be less drying, or are both the same since they are both humectants?

ps .. keep your menthol around for when you have a cold. I can barely taste any other flavors right now. I ran out of menthol and would kill for some.

Hi Abby--my experiance is that VG has no issues with drying compared to PG--but note that if you use a flavoring that has alcohol like Vanilla--that will give you a dry throat---Hope that helps--Sun

Thanks, I don't have any VG only liquid. I do have some strong PG liquid. I will try cutting it with VG and see if it helps.

Abby-Switch to straight VG--better vapor production anyway and no issues--Any local health food store carries it--Sun

When I started e-smoking, I had a raw dry throat and a come-and-go cold for a few weeks. That seems to have subsided now. That seems to be fairly common based on what I've read from beginning e-smokers.
