Ok...I'm a late in life smoker...
(I blame it on LA traffic...and letting friends smoke in my car before I did!)
Moved from Parliaments to American Spirits after the first year in an attempt to quit.
I just loved/hated them more.

I'm over the smell..and the expense..but can't make it more than a day without.
I picked up a package of Green Smart Living E-Cigs at a 7/11 before a fancy house sitting gig that I couldn't "really" smoke at.

I was surprised that I liked vaping....but the GSM leave much to desire.
I chain vape all night till I sleep or the battery wears out...then I'm plugging in...vaping...plugging in....
I know there HAS to be something better!!
When I do cheat and smoke, the real ciggies knock me on my ...!!
So, I'm really not getting much nicotine for the all that vaping effort,
and I'm practically ready to fully quit!

I would like to upgrade...but not not into something ($$$) to crazy.
I know I will get bored in a few weeks hopefully rid myself of the habit.
Should I switch to another e-cig such as V2's or go full on into an intro vaping system?
Anyone have any cost friend recs? I don't want fancy juices.
Possibly a higher 24g so I can cut down on the habitual aspects...
and a smokey throat hit would be nice.

So right now you are using a cig-a-like system and it's not strong enough for you, you want higher nic, better throat hit and longer battery life. You also don't want anything too expensive because you just want to use ecigs to transition off of smokes before quitting altogether, correct?

Based on that, I recommend an eGo kit. If you don't want to shop around, and you want high quality tobacco juices, then you should probably check out Johnson Creek's Vea line of ecigs. They also have a good line of tobacco juices as well.

You can buy eGo batteries and all the other things that you need seperately for cheaper, but that will give you a place to start and you can come back and tell us if you think an ego type system would fit your needs.

Hope that helps.

Wow!
Thanks for the quick responses!
I'm totally ignorant of all of the "tank" "juice" and anything in regards to vaping at this early part...
(but trying to take it all in) and I appreciate all of the advice.

I guess at this point..does anyone have a reputable online provider with beginner supplies??
I have an "idea" of what I want, but the online world of vaping is vast with handful of seemingly cons.

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Smokeless Image Electronic Cigarettes - The Future is in your hands

I wouldnt order the starter kit though.

Go with a Simple X2 Battery, 900maH size would be more than enough for a day between charges.

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Then Clearos, I ordered 2 of each to start, but I would order some replacement heads for the T3 as they are only 2.99
Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette
and
Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | T3 - X2 Clearomizer 808D

I tried to start out with the normal Cigarette sized ones, and the carotomizers and it just didnt do it for me.
Also finding the perfect juice can be a pain, but well worth the trouble.

I personally like the Tobacco/Analog type flavors most of the time, my current favorite is made by some friends of mine here in Louisville over at Purevapes.com. The Flavor is called Pipe Dream, its a nice mix of flavors, and tobacco too it without tasting burnt.

You can also use discount code YOUVOLT00 and I think it's like 10-15% off your order

I second Smokeless image. Great products, simple to use and affordable. I have ego's, Innokins, galileo telescopic mods, lavatubes etc and what I use 99% of the time is the simple X2 with clearo from Smokeless image. Does everything I need it to do, portable, effective and easy! Voltsave will give you 16% off your order.
Their liquid is good but I prefer other places for that so of course I have to vouch for purevapes as well, it's what I use and love it. Tons of great stuff.

I would go with a kgo if cost is a big obstacle, the kits are a bit cheaper not vv but still very good or a vv spinner/twist to start with and a vivi nova. I tend to prefer 510 threaded equip because you are not limited to who you buy from and can take advantage of cheaper prices on sales. The vv numbers are much easier to read without a magnifying glass on the spinner as opposed to the twist. I just wish I had some of the money I've spent on cigs in the last 48 yrs instead of a pile of dead butts.

Since you live in Los Angeles, you are practically surrounded by brick and mortar vape shops...

There are MANY high quality shops all over the place there, and you can go in and try things out yourself.
I can assure you that you will walk out with the best product for your needs.

Please note that some vape shops are MUCH better than others.

There are many reputable suppliers online. I'd second the suggestion on an eGo starter kit. Should be able to pick a decent one up for under $50. As far as the juice goes finding a 'good' tobacco one is going to be the hardest, but if you were smoking American Spirit before even that shouldn't be too hard for you... :)
