So here is my problem:
Dry hits (I think) I have one juice that I love that is great I could use it all day but I get nasty tasting burnt smelling hits. I wait a few hours it goes away then its back again. sometimes I can go all day without any nastiness

set up I have:
itaste CLK with iclear 16D clearomizer

what I've tried:
changing the coil (x3)
cleaning the tank and refilling it (x3)
switching to a new tank
switching the voltage lower/higher

other notes:
The juice is zombie blood by good life vapor 18mg.
I have other juices that are the same thickness, thicker and thinner that have no issues.
I have no issues with other juices from that company.
Could it be the type of tank/clearomizer?

Thanks for any input anyone can give.

Welcome to ECF. Different juices will vape differently depending upon the pg/vg ratio and the topper you use. I have found the the darker, sweeter juices and tobaccos tend to be coil gunkers. The lighter, clearer, higher pg juices give me less problems.

I believe I read somewhere in the eliquid forum about a few juices that would do what you are experiencing. Try going over to that forum and search the threads for that particular liquid and reviews on it. If it is that particular juice someone else should be talking about the same problem and hopefully have a solution for you.

It sounds like you are trying the same things I would advise to fix the problem. I hope you can figure it out.

Is your clearo a top coil device? If it is you need to be tipping your device often to keep the wick wet. That is the only thing I can think of that you did not mention.

That liquid could "burn" easily. So you vape it a LITTLE too much (dry wick) or a LITTLE too hot (voltage) and you get some burnt juice on your coil. That flavor then STICKS there... You might bury it with fresh liquid when you wait and it goes away - but the first chance it gets - like 3 hits in, and it's not as soaked - that burnt flavor comes back.

What you'd need to do it prevent ANY burning in the first place:
A) fresh coil/wick
B) Lowest voltage that provides a decent vape
C) Be careful about drying it out - too many hits in a row, tilting as mentioned to ensure it's wicking, or whatever depending on what type of tank (like if it's carto tanks, you could do a no-fire hard draw to pull extra liquid into the carto as needed).

Good luck!
