I bought an Ego C not long ago and was using cartomizers with it until i realized that only 1 out of every 5 pack of cartomizers I ordered actually works if I'm lucky.

So i've decided I wanna switch to atomizers.

Could someone tell me some good and cheap suggestions for atomizers for an Ego C?

Also, I don't know anything at all about atomizers....so do I need to order anything else besides an atomizer body and some atomizer heads? I've read some things about "cartridges" that people use with atomizers.... Do I NEED one of these as well?

Basically I just want to know the bare minimums of what I need to use an atty on my Ego C.

Thanks!

If you want to try out the atomizer with tank option you would need everything included in a starter kit like this: https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egc-sbr-all.htm

If you wanted a regular atty and cart setup instead you need to get your 510 atty of choice and the cartridges that go with. I would suggest the eGo MEGA cylinder attys instead of much smaller standard size attys. The carts for this type can hold up to 2.5 ml's of liquid. You can vape for hours without having to refill the cartridge. Liberty Flights has the best price on them. If you get a 3 pack they run about seven bucks each. (LF calls them an eGo XL type B atty.) You would need to pick up a 5 pack of cartridges as well.

Awesome, thanks for advice! I think i'll go with the "regular atty and cart setup" you mentioned.....

are these the cartridges I need with that atomizer?

Personally, I would not use cartridges and atomizer. That is rather old school at this point.

I'm assuming your Ego batts are 510 threaded, and can pretty much accept any 510 threaded delivery device.

Since you don't like cartomizers, then try some rebuildable clearomizers like visions or kanger T2's, or just get a vivi nova tank.

I know of nobody who uses atomizers+cartridges at this juncture.

The least fiddly is the Kanger T2, the Vivi Nova doesn't work for everyone.

Since you're used to cartos, pick a box of Phoenix bottom coils. I think you'll love the vape.

That is them. Just make sure to order the "Type 'B'" cartridges to go with the "Type 'B" atomizers.

The difference between Type XL A and Type XL B is style and capacity. Type A results in more of a cone shape and the cartridges hold less - 1.5ml. Type B is a straight cylinder and uses larger cartridges - 2.5ml. (Scroll through the photos of the attys at LF and you can see the difference.)

Us people who are nothing but frustrated with the short life span, messy filling and lack of flavor using cartos do. Cartos might be newer but they aren't nirvana for everyone. If I had started vaping using cartos I probably wouldn't have continued. Everyone is different and for some people attys are still the most likable option. I can taste next to no flavor off any carto I have tried - SC DC LR tanks Boge SmokTech Kanger Vivi Nova... - it's not like I haven't tried. A lot. Some people have the exact opposite experience.

Hi MaGICMan, instead of using atty's and cartridges I would suggest that you try direct dripping into an atty. You can use any 510 atty for this and some are made especially for dripping, like the ones available at Smartvapes, just add a drip tip and drip shield (optional) and you're ready to go. I never had much success with the cartridges and tried every modification out there to get them to work. Also if you're having this much trouble with carto's you may need to pull the post on your battery, there are vids on youtube showing what to do, but basically what happens is your center post gets pushed down by normal use or over tightening devices. All you have to do is gently pry it up with a small screwdriver so it makes contact again, this has happened to me at one time on every device I have owned. When I'm not direct dripping I usually use Kanger T2 clearo's, they give better flavor than the other clearo's or stardusts IMO. If you have any questions P.M. me and I'll see if we can sort out a solution for you.
