VV = variable voltage mode
VW = Variable wattage mod
The others are an evic only thing. You can use the PC software to tailor your vape. Ie: star off at 4 volts for 2 seconds then down to 3.7 for 4. I don't really see any benift to using those. I just run mine in wattage mode.

Correct, all or your (R) settings are for custom tailoring your power output.
While I have not used them(I'm lazy that way) other that have seem to like the results.

Say you like short draws, or have lung issues that do not allow you to take long draws(shortness of breath)
The coil may not heat up properly to Vaporize e-liquid
Poor solution Crank up the Volts
Better solution - Raise output to (x) for .5 seconds, reduce to (Y) for 1.5 seconds, continue at (Z) for 6 seconds.
Now you can come on strong and level off lower to keep juice from burning.:)
