Hello, my name is Tony, and I am a noob. I been lurking around these forums for a few days. I began considering quitting, and going to e-cigs. I stumbled on this site and noticed there is so much to learn on vaping. After researching a little more, I began to notice that many people have great success with e-cigs, and its like a hobby to many. I visited the chat and talked to a few people and got some great info aswell. ( I was pointed to the ego, and the roughstack...Thanks whitepony and Monolith !! ). I'll start out with the ego since one of the site stores ( The Vapor Room ) is local to me. I figure from all I read on their reputation, they can get me pointed in the right direction. Anyways, I have lots to learn, which shouldnt be too hard since there are tons of info here, with many, many people who seem to be willing to help. I do have one question though, If anyone knows of any good tutorials on building a flashlight mod, please point me in the right direction.

Get 5 posts, wait an hour and then you can go to the modders forum on ECF. You picked a pretty good ecig but I would have taken the Maxi Roughstack. batteries are cheaper to replace and you can vape at higher voltages with it. Plus, if you find you like low resistance atomizers/cartomizers the best, the roughstack can safely run them. Welcome to ECF.

Yep, he did suggest the MAXi, I just forgot to add that in there lol. I/he figured the maxi for the same exact reason....so I can increase voltage later. But at first I will start with the 3.7 ( I think thats right? ) batteries since I am a noob. Still confused on the low resistance atty's as of now, so any help there will be greatful. Thanks for the welcome :)

Excellent! Glad to know someone else had success. Congrats to you Kerbe. I have a few reasons for wanting to quit ( again ). Biggest is price of cigs..Just waay too much spent on them, and they keep increasing. My workplace just stopped smoking inside, so I might aswell quit instead of craving all day. I'll be vaping tho!! Then, health. Im too young to be feeling this old. I quit twice in the past, cold turkey. Once for 10 months, and once for 11 months. Hopefully the third time is a charm. I just enjoy smokin so much, so thats the biggest reason to try vaping.

Welcome to the club! A lot of atomizers and cartomizers are made especially for 3.7. 1.5 - 2.0 Ohms is what you are looking for. 1.5 Avid Vaper 306's and 1.5 Smoketech Dual Coil Cartomizers are my favorites. Followed closely by 1.7 Single coil XL and regular length Carto's Smoketeck and 2.0 LR Boge Cartos. We are all pests, so you will fit right in. Just stay away from Ego T's, CE 2's, and you should be fine!

Again, thanks for all the welcomes....Much appreciated!! After constantly browsing this forum and talking to a few in chat, I finally think I know enough and placed an order. I ordered a maxi roughstack v2. I ordered smoketech 2.0 Ohm carto's, 2 18659 batt's (one for spare), charger and anodized drip tip. Gonna run it for now at 3.7v. First thing I plan to do to the RS is polish it!! :vapor:
