so... i was wondering... why the restrictions on how many posts and to who? i thought that this forum would help me learn as much as i can about my new e-cig. i was very happy to stumble onto this community. just feels a bit cold to me.

This and the Vapers Forum are the most difficult forums I've ever joined. I've never had the experience of being limited to posting in the new members section. Very frustrating. I will say that I got my 510 last Thursday and haven't had an analog since. I've got half a pack of Luckies and half a pack of Reds sitting in my former smoking room (the downstairs bathroom).
And just to get my post count up - I met GrimmGreen on Saturday night in the flesh (along with another couple of vape celebs) in Cotati for the Nor-Cal meetup.
i get it...thanks ya'll. i think i'm just gonna keep on keepin' on here. a couple of posts yesterday and already got some friendly responses and ideas. i think i'm going to be happy here. seems like a nice bunch of folks...Thanks All!!!
I love love love this forum. I have my post count up and can post outside New Members, but I like it here

The rules about how many posts to do this and that are honestly there for a good reason. Though it may seem like a pain to post some, just find a few new members threads and comment on how it helped, or thanks for the info, or something quick and simple like that. It goes by quicker than you think! Promise

Considering there are thousands of members that the board leaders have to deal with, I say the restrictions on the new members is fair. Imagine having to deal with hundreds of posts by people that have no intention of actually becoming 'members' all throughout the board.
It's done to prevent spam, plain and simple, and it works very well. Once you've been around long enough, you'll notice that the ECF gets a tiny fraction of the spam that other forums get. And what does actually show up gets squashed very quickly.
Our members shouldn't have to deal with a lot of spam. I know it irritates the heck out of me.

It not only prevents spam, but I would imagine it cuts way down on the number of trolls as well. They usually aren't as interesting in trolling if they have to work for it.
I feel the same way. I see that there is a SC group on here and I can't join it yet!

I'm glad the forum cares about its members to put some restrictions on the way things go in here, small price to pay for having the best forum I've seen around..Kudos...It also makes it fun in a way to build up posts & things..I love it!!
