I am currently a pack to a pack and a half a day smoker right now depending on the stress level of my shop that day. LOL Just seeking some advice on easiest way to let the analogs go? any suggestions???? Any advice on best juices and clearomizers to use?

juice is subjective. I suggest buying a bunch of sample sizes from different vendors to see what you like. mount baker Vapor is one of the cheapest places around, but for me, some of the juice is hit or miss.

Clearomizers are a personal preference as well. Some like top coil, and some like bottom coil. Again, best to get at least one of each and see what you like. I prefer iClear 16s for top coil and T3S for bottom coil.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on taking your first step towards becoming cigarette free.

I started off with an ego type knock off kit from the local tobacco store. At first, I smoked the ecig inside my home and regular cigarettes in the car and on breaks at work, maybe only smoking about 5 regular cigs a day from the day I got my ecig. One day while driving home from work and smoking a traditional cigarette, I took a puff, looked down at it, chucked it out the window and started smoking my ecig. I got home and immediately ordered a nicer ecig, (kGo 1100mAh and a Vamo). When those arrived, I stopped smoking completely, first day. They were much better than the junky ego knock off I got ripped off on. What's great about getting a good ecig is that almost no will power is involved with quitting the traditional cigarettes.

As for juice, I'd start with some more expensive tobacco blends until you're off the cigarettes (I think I had Mountain Oak Vapor's BlueRidge and Smoky Mountian 555 and loved them). Eventually you might start making your own eliquid for pennies per mililiter. I have no suggestions for clearomizers since I don't use them. I do like Boge low resistance stainless steel cartomizers inside of pyrex glass tanks (cost about $20 each for plane jane tanks).

Anyway, be prepared to spend a bunch of money figuring out what works for you. Remember, no will power involved once you get a good vaporizer.

Edit: And stay away from Mt Baker Vapor tobacco flavors. The two I tried were nasty (blubacco and vanilla tobacco).

Welcome to the asylum, bueno! Congratulations on deciding to try ecigs! And be warned, you have opened the floodgates with your "advice on best juices and clearomizers to use" question!!!

First, though, the process of letting the analogs go is different for each person. I personally knew after one puff on my first ecig that I didn't need cigarettes. Finished smoking the half pack that was already opened, and never looked back. Others find a more gradual process works for them, slowly substituting a good vape for a cigarette until voila, they're smoke-free. Still others continue to smoke the occasional cigarette from time to time. There are no set rules. Wait to see how you get along with vaping, take it at your own pace.

Azmo's advice on e-juices is spot on: Order lots of small samples and do the "taste test" thing. And don't limit yourself to trying only certain classes of juice. Many new vapers tend to stick with tobacco flavors, but end up preferring things like cherry, coffee, vanilla, or mom's apple pie!

And I'll leave you with AgentAnia's First Rule of Vaping: Always have backups! And backups for your backups...

Glad to have you with us, and happy vaping! :vapor: :thumb: :vapor:

And don't get all tobacco flavors. You will find that none of them actually taste like a cigarette. Get a couple to try, but also try your favorite dessert or fruit flavor.

Totally agree with this. Thought I would be all about menthol tabacco, but now I will pick a good fruit over good tabacco flavor 90% of the time (some exceptions, like glv's el kamino).

In general? Don't expect yourself to perform miracles. Not everybody stops smoking the day they start vaping. I was "dual use" for some six weeks. The smoking kept slowing down over time until I stopped caring about the things. But it took time. Don't get frustrated if you slow down but don't stop right away. Some do. Others take longer.

(Particularly times of stress. Those you may "slip". Don't beat yourself up about it. People leave cigs behind at different "speeds".)

Focus more on the positives of vaping. That is, sample juices, try things out, experiment. You can get tons and tons of great advice here on ECF but nobody can tell you exactly what will work for you personally. You'll have to find that by trying things out. And some of the fun is exploring all the different flavors and stuff. There are a lot out there.

Look for a vape you enjoy. Whatever kit, juice, whatever works. The more you enjoy vaping, the less you'll care about smoking.

Don't buy big bottles nor big batches of juices at first. You will misjudge juices and flavors at first. You will think something sounds great but when you get it, you'll think it tastes like dog poop. :) You'll like flavors you won't think you would and hate things you thought you'd like. I smoked menthol cigs for years and years and years. I hate all menthol vape liquids. Go figure?

Oh, never be afraid to ask "dumb questions" on ECF. We all were "noobs" at some point. I've been at this a while now but I'm still not the most experienced around and I have dumb questions (haven't had time to go pester the DIY liquid people yet... I have many dumb things to ask them when I get the time. :) ).

One other thing I would add as far as juices...get some unflavored with a medium mix (60/40 or 50/50) in the strength you use. You may have juices that are too strong-tasting and need to be diluted, you may just want a simple vape without flavor, or you may want to pick up some bottles of flavorings and start dabbling in DIY. Also, depending on your work situation, unflavored wouldn't have lingering odors that would tip-off or aggravate co-workers.
