DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
i dont think us "veteran" vapers would ever order from this company, it's not one of the "big" ones. but it's not a very unknown one either. the thing i worry about is "newbies". i sure dont want them to start of in the ecig world getting a bad deal or bad customer service or product. i cant believe that i actually did business with them, but i had been out of touch with vaping world for 2 years and a friend told me about them, and this was before i got back on the forum and learned about the eGo et al.....i did send a pm to an ECF dignitary to tell him/her the name. i am afraid to expose them because they probably still have my credit card info from that one order i placed-who's to say that they dont retaliate!

My bet is that the evil vendor caved and we're never going to know who he is.

Today on The Ills...

I apologize for my absence, I have just had two of the most disgusting days of my young life. Sunday was my first day off in 2 weeks, so naturally I woke up with a cold, and shall we say... intestinal woe. I was not in fit form to be whinin it up in here, and I apologize for leaving you wondering where’d the b!tch go? I’m back and ready to Name & Shame.

The vendor is Modern Vapor.

For 5 days there was no communication or resolution of the above mentioned problems. No, not my intestinal situation, the other problems.

I emailed Tony extensively, had no replies from the 30th of September to the 5th October.
When I didn’t hear back from him, I also emailed Julia, and Sandra, and the various departments of Modern Vapor, such as
info @ modernvapor.com
support @ modernvapor.com
warranty @ modernvapor.com

Tony initially sent me some tips on reviving my stanky attys, but totally bypassed my request for help on the malfunctioning PCC and the fact that they overcharged me 15%.

No word from any of them for 5 days.
Until today, when Tony answered my PM here on the forum. He has been out of town, and says he “prefers Outlook” which, I’m sorry, doesn't jive, seeing as I have been emailing him (and his staff) almost daily.
And besides, Julia has been looking after the business in his absence.

In his reply, he said that my account will be credited back the overcharge, and I am awaiting a response on all the other issues. I have hope this will be resolved.

So there you have it lovelies, and I will say I feel nervous revealing this. Why?
I’m pretty sure I’m going to be thrown shade left right and center. But I want my fellow noobs to know what to expect & what to avoid. And vendors need to know that word will get around eventually.

And
Dun Dun Duuuuuun...
Eventually is today

So thanks all for staying tuned to As The Girl Burns (soon to be featured over at BrilliantButCancelled.com)

Ditto, Sugarmama.

If my geography is right and my <cough> deduces aren't wild, Evilcute hails from Down Under. If that is truly the case, she gets even more credit for holding back on blowing the vendor away after WAITING to receive her equipment and subsequent waits on returns.

Evilcute is clearly a class act.

Aw, you like my jibs
I like yours too.

You know who else has great jibs? Texastumbleweed. Stay tuned for her review.

Yeah, you heard me. After the last PM, another business day in the can and no reply.
Shall I call in "the boys" ?

Lonevapo

Always remember there's alot of bad apple companies out there, you end up learning through trial and error eventually.

I’m so jealous of you right now with your yummy plume of vapor! Droolz. I never thought this would turn out to be a bad apple, this vendor seemed to be the pick of the bunch. Still, it remains to be seen...

Do not reply in that vendor's forum. I repeat: Do not reply in that vendor's forum.
Reply in the "SUPPLIERS REVIEWS" thread instead.

Why? Because:
1. You'll have more exposure on the suppliers reviews thread
2. You'll avoid getting attacked by "fanboys".
3. You'll avoid having a flame war
4. There will more objective minded people reading and replying to the thread.
5. The vendor will probably respond faster on the "suppliers reviews" thread
due to exposure.

Hoping you get your issues resolved.

Thank you for giving it to me straight. I was considering asking for help on the Vendors forum. Stopped me in my tracks.
More importantly, OMG Maxine! My favorite Max-ism is : There’s no place like home… Go there!

GrimReaper

i just use cignot myself about the cheapest nicest and fastest girls ive ever known for hardware. indyvaporshop.com is a local suplier there pretty cheap too but not as fast

Thank you, I will look into Cignot, however I am restricted by a couple of factors – I can only use Paypal, and I live in Australia. Will check and see if they can accommodate me and my problem case. Thanks again

yoyoma_mda

i had a problem with a vendor when I first started vaping, I lost out on $215 bucks of product and didn't even know about the forums at the time. 3 months after I finally found the forums and WISHED i could've posted something about the vendor and their complete disregard for me and my problems. I suggest you take an aggressive stance on this otherwise you won't get your money back. BTW the vendor that screwed me was eastmall, and like another user said, people will continue to buy from their favorite vendors, but your posts will make that vendor think twice about screwing people over again

Thank you for letting me know about Eastmall. I am so sorry you lost all that money. That just confirms to me how lucky I am to have found this community when I did.

The suspence is killing me, this is worse than Twin Peaks.

Twin Peaks? Flattery will get you everywhere :p

Elendil

If there is a problem with an ECF Supplier (either a Registered Supplier or Forum Supplier) that cannot be resolved by contacting the supplier directly and working it out with them then I am your point of contact for these "unresolved disputes". While I cannot guarantee a resolution, we do monitor complaints against suppliers and we have in the past removed suppliers form ECF that had what we believed to be too many unresolved complaints

However, if nothing is reported to us, it is likely we will be in the dark about the situation.

King Elendil, thank you for reading and volunteering your support. I am not worthy. However, I will be in touch if the situation is not resolved adequately.

No more money-snatchin-Ab-Circle-Pro-shillin-Satans-...-tasting-PCC-no-working-plus-postage-and-handling junk for me either. From now on I listen only to my auntie ECF.

I hear you on the limited budget sitchu. I promised my family I wouldn’t sink more than $100 into this idea, and I feel like a dirty dirty liar. I’m glad you’ve had such success with your atomizers. You must be a pacifist. I, however am a bloodthirsty atty pirate.

All you Texas gals need to get together and Bedazzle your PV’s. You know, like a knitting circle. Just with more booze.

Wow and we almost ordered from that company. We were going to get 2 Lux sets.. $70 a piece. Instead we were steered in the direction of Rivas and we're very happy with them. One of the reasons we didn't was I pointed out that I didn't see a bunch of good reviews for their product like I had other companies. I guess it pays to look at these boards. I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad experience, evilcute and I hope you find a better company for your next order.

Elendil, yes that could definitely be another Texas saying, or replaced by longhorn, tractor....
thelook....bless your heart....bless your PEA PICKIN heart!
evilcute wants me to share my story...that horrible vendor pestered me for a return on a defective PCC worse than any bill collector....from morning till nite...my cell phone was ringing even when i was doing jawthrust/chinlift to open a patient's airway, while grabbing an ambu bag to start oxygenating a patient who is not breathing. not cool. you would think they were trying to repo a luxury sports car, not a cheap piece of plastic!

OMG Texas, your last post was number 666

Cross your fingers and clutch your pearls girl...

Speaking of the cheap piece of plastic, I'm considering taking it to the repairman and having it rewired. Let me take a poll before I do

Attempting to repair PCC while awaiting refund : Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Think I just answered my own question.

Oh i know a few kick ... ones. One is VaporJunction.com , Travis is a great guy. He helped me with an order and even told me to hold off ordering a day so I could catch his 20% off sale (still running til Friday, i believe. use customer20 in the coupon code) and shipped it in 3 days. One of the batteries was D.O.A. and he immediately shipped out a new one. How's that for service? Cignot.com is top notch as well. Vicki does an awesome job of quick orders and customer service. For juice, I recommend vaporbomb.com

Thanks faeriekari, VaporJunction sounds like the biz!

Vapor Junction is so on top of things....It's AMAZING! I had an issue with a charger, wasn't sure it was working properly...called and spoke with Travis, he said he'd put one in the mail same day...I called back about an hour later and told him not to send 1 out cause it looked like it was just taking a bit longer to charge than the other chargers...HE SENT IT OUT ANYWAY...that is great customer service :).
Not only did Vapor Junction stand behind their product, but went above and beyond the call of duty, sending out the replacement part before recieving it back. I highly recommend this supplier....

Thanks for calling out a vendor I will never use :)

I sure hope that you and Texas will leave a review on the Suppliers Review Forum...I may forget the name of the vendor, but I always check out the review section before using a vendor I'm not familiar with.

I definitely think it's time to step this one up evilcute. Post a review on the supplier's review forum.

As for messing with the PCC - I wouldn't just yet. Wait until this is settled one way or another. If you mess with it, it might void any warranty on the PCC and they may not credit you.

You're the first person to get the Maxine connection. She's a hoot!

@texas - looking forward to your review. I have several sayings, but our benevolent, most wise, most revered mod Elendil would ban me to the farthest realms of forum hell if I were to express them.

Suffice it to say, here's one of 'em : "get bent":p
