Hey there. Not sure if you saw the ECF logo contest, but surprisingly I won. I am still in a bit of shock at my good fortune and the unbelievable prize that Vaporkingsprovided--a GGTS!!!!!! Not sure that Rob has been notified or even when its coming--but I want to be prepared so...

Accessories needed: AFS version 2, i6 atties (how many?), new black mouthpiece thingy (how many? is one enough?), Is a fuse thingy necessary?
What else am I missing?

batteries: I already have 4 tenergy lifpo4's 3.0v batteries. I also have 4 14500s, and one 17650. The 17650 is not listed on the battery chart--can I use a 17650? Should I get one of those high drain aw 18650's (is it worth it?)

Besides the i-attys, which other atomizers will work with the AFS? I have a bunch of regular ones.

I have some money to spend--I keep telling my wife that besides atties and juice--I will be set for a long long time. So if I am gonna drop the cash, I want to do it one time to keep wife aggro to a minimum :)

Anyways I cannot tell ya'll how excited I am. It pretty much has dominated my thinking the last few days.

Looking forward to being part of the "GG" family,
Dave

Congrats on the win!

and welcome to GG!

as far as parts list the lifePO 3v batts you have will do the trick, Just get a few i6 atties and your all set. AFSv2 and 1 mouthpiece will be sufficient. No need to get the fuse or magnetic button spring if money is an issue it will work just fine without it. ... but its nice to have the set 8)

i6 atties have a long life so I am told (just got mine in the mail yesterday) but the i7's dont last long (yet). As far as the 18650... its nice but not really necessary unless you want a 2 day vape machine before you need a recharge. With those lifePO you already have I bet they will last you all day at 6v as it is.

Just my 2 cents as an everyday GG vaper.

Good Luck and Happy Vaping!

P.S. as far as the 17650 I don't know personally but the beauty of the GGTS is it will work with almost any battery configuration. I would use it if I had it.

I had seen that you won my new friend but I couldnt post there to tell you how happy I was for you:):)

Also your logo was exellent even if I saw some others from you that was better to my opinion.

You can put any battery inside as Dah said, even the 10440 so 17650 is just ok. The lifepod batteries you have are ok too. As for the fuse I really recommend it because safety is the No one issue to my opinion. You will never see the GG to explode.
Magnets are a must if you dont want to open the button to change springs or wonder why GG is not smoking because of a broke or shrinked spring.

Only iatties work at the moment with AFS and soon all 901 atties will work with it.

Yes, buy all of the stuff now now and dont bother wife all the time because you will have nag more than one time:lol::lol:

Welcome to GG family friend, we have a wonderful time here all the time. Many crazy people here including me will be happy to serve you:)

Grats on the win and you are gonna love the GGTS. OK I am going against what most have said here, but get the fuse first.

I will tell you why. I did the same exact thing and thought wow no way am I going to spend that on a fuse, but then I thought bleh, why not.

So I ordered it and installed it. I do have one little problem with the fuse unit and that is if I screw both top pieces on tight, and install two 3 volt batteries, either Tenergy or AW, a couple threads show on the brass telescoping part near bottom. Small price to pay for safety though.

Anyway, yes, lifepo4 are safer chemistry, but they can get REALLY hot. One morning I woke up and put my batteries in. Hmmm GGTS isnt working. Check batteries with the multimeter and they are fine. GRRRRR put batteries back in and still not working. Check the spring in the fuse unit and notice its shrunk up. I am ashamed to admit, I got mad at the fuse unit and put old unit back in. Yay, GGTS working again.

Then, GGTS is getting HOT. I mean like REALLY hot. Take out batteries put them on counter. So, I replaced the spring in the fuse unit and put the fuse unit back on the GGTS. I changed atties and all is working fine again. Batteries have cooled by now so I am using them again. :p

What had happened is somehow the atty threads had bent just a fraction and were making contact with the positive part of the atty. I had to look really close at the atty to figure this out If those would have been unprotected batteries it would not have been pretty.

So, just my two cents, but that fuse is awesome and I wont vape stacked batteries without it. Sure would be nice to know where to get the springs in bulk though haha.

Regards
Jim

thanks JW for this post. Yes, I made the fuse because of all the exploded mods out there including 2 GGs. Even if the GG has venting holes we dont want to see it exploded because there is a possibility to hurt us and GG hurt itself. Why to put ourselfs to this situation? Fuse is a must on all mods, we cant risk anything when we vape:)
