Hello everyone, i am new to this site and to e-smoking!

I came across the Milano e-cigarette in an iwantoneofthose catalogue which dropped onto my doormat on Friday and ever since i've been trawling the net reading whatever I can find in a desparate bid to stop smoking without depriving myself which would please my other half no end! As it turns out, there are hundreds (?) of different e-cigarettes to chose from, some of which I cannot find any information about at all and others which have so much information I feel like my brain is going to explode!!

I have been smoking for about 15 years and now exclusively smoke golden virginia hand rolling tobacco (this in itself was an attempt to give up which turned into a preference!). I am therefore drawn towards the "mini's" so I can smoke in public without feeling self-conscious but have found that many of the people on here seem to prefer the larger models.

I would therefore be eternally grateful to anyone with experience of some of the "mini" models for some recommendations. As someone that has never tried an e-cigarette I am keen to find something as close to the "real thing" as possible at a reasonable price in case its not for me. I have seen reference to "Smokester" and "Pillbox" but cannot seem to find any websites selling them!

Any help would be fab, thanks! :D

Hi brunette. My experience is that more people notice when I smoke the minis then when I am using the pen styles. I am almost never asked questions when using my pen sized e-cigs. In my experience the pen sized e-cigs taste and work much better then the small ones trying to look like regular cigarettes.

Welcome, Brunette!

I was in your shoes only a week ago when I bought a mini e-cig for my hubby as a birthday gimmick.

He has since changed to the pen-style (classic) which gives a stronger hit, and I have taken over the mini. As I said, it was meant to be a gimmick--something to use when we're visiting non-smoking friends, but to my surprise I now prefer vaping to smoking! The high nicotine cartridges are giving such a good hit that I'm contemplating ordering medium-strength ones (but I'm topping up with flavoured high-strength juice as they smoke drier).

Both the suppliers you mention have solid reputations. I'm with Smokster (e-cigs) and if you mention your screen name in the Paypal comments he'll give you ten free carts with every starter pack.

Be warned that once you start you cannot stop ;)--I'm about to order a black mini with blue LED to have something less ciggy-like for smoking in pubs etc. Then thereare all those different flavours to try...

The best seems to be the DSE 901 which you can get at puresmoker.com. It seems to produce as much vapor as the generic pen styles and even the kiss janty njoy higher ones for cheaper. Watch rat in da hats reviews of it called the mini. I got a dse901 and it smoked well but the charger was defective; I also got a 98 mm mini from jane at ecigsales and it seems to produce as much smoke as the dse901 but it Has to be refilled/charged more often.
