Hi everyone...well I just received my very first starter kit in the mail. Everything is charging, I feel like a kid at christmas hehe! The funny thing is, I never really EVER planned on giving up my analogs. It was MY vice and nobody was going to take it away. Then I saw one of those kiosks in the mall. I had heard of the "electronic cigarette" before, but I never really gave it much thought. So I let the sales lady lure me in and I tried one. Mind you..I had NO idea I was going to exhale vapor so I was caught off guard, and didn't expect to actually like the darn thing LOL! No..I didn't buy it. I went home, spent the next week being in shock and awe of the new vaping culture I had found, learned the lingo, watched countless videos and read these forums for hours. So now I sit here in this wonderful age of technology waiting for my batteries to charge... I love it. I thought this would be a good way to cut back on the money I have been spending on analogs, but as long as I don't say "I'm quitting" it doesn't freak me out..but I'm completely open to that happening, accidentally. :p

I went with the Joye 510. I also got plenty of extra carts, PG and VG, 36mg non flavored and 36mg "usa mix" flavored. I have some Capella flavorings that I've had around for cooking to experiment with and downloaded a couple of the ejuice calculators. Only 7 hours of charging to go..ahhh. I'm excited! :)

Welcome Aimee. If you do get vaping and find that you don't like the analogs anymore (it often happens). Then go with it. Vaping easily covers what i used to get from smoking only in an altogether more pleasant way. My taste buds are working again. My energy levels are sky high (like i've rewound 10 years). I'm as strong as a lion again. I can breathe full and deep breaths. I could go on and on (and nearly did there).
Understand that it will take a little time to find exactly how you like to vape. By that i mean you may start off not sure how much you vape. It's not like smoking where you have a cigarette then have another one in an hours time. With vaping you'll find that you'll like to keep your 510 near you. Even touching it a lot...lol. You'll find your own way with it. But that will change and develope as a couple of weeks go by. The Joye 510 will serve you well. It's a good'un. You can fire up your e cig once the light on charger goes to green.
I hope you enjoy these early days and don't get in to much of a pickle with it. If you do then this is a great place to come. Help is never more than a holler away.
Please keep posting as i like to follow peoples progress. As do others. I enjoy seeing people succeed and like to cheer them on...lol
Enjoy Aimee.

Dont worry you can still get nic juice here in Canada just go to the Canadian Forum and search for suppliers or ask the great people on there and they will gladly help you find what you are looking for:)
Hi Aimee..nice to meet you. I'm new here also trying to learn about these things. I'm from Canada and all we can get here are e-cigs with 0 nic. I'll be interested to hear how you make out with the new kit.

Thanks XBB. Wow..I hope you can order from outside the country? I was a bit nervous ordering from China but everything came in exactly as ordered and very fast.

Thanks so much! I'm excited to see all the differences. My charger light did turn green about 5 minutes after I plugged it in, I'll try to wait it out. I keep looking at it every few minutes like it's going to do something LOL

Thanks Rosa!

Thanks jwtaylor27.. yeah I wouldn't dare try to vape 36mg alone. From what I gather my analogs are about 6mg. The calculators vary a tiny bit from each other. For mixing experimental flavors I was going to try 1 ml at a time in case I don't like one. One calc says 3 drops another says 4 of the nic. It will take some playing with.

Hi and welcome!
I agree with JW, 36 mg is a high nicotine dosage. Take it easy and if you hit it often, you might should step it down to 24mg if not 18mg.

Thanks for the welcome Luther! Yeah after comparing prices on everything I just ordered the highest mg they had and some plain ol' PG and VG to dilute with. Seemed a much cheaper way to go.

Aimee, if it's gone green it's good to go now. They send them out charged and ready. Or with at least a good charge in them. The green light is saying is charged. It wont get more charged than "charged". Go on. Fire it up now while you're still hooked up to us. And give us your immediate thoughts.

Wow this is like a live link to someones first vape with their new e cig...lol

Welcome Aimee and XBB. It is great to see you all here. Aimee, I started on the Joye 510 and love it. I only recently upgraded to the eGo, and that is because of the battery life. I have been giving a lot of my old 510 batteries to local folk who wish to get involved in e-cigs. The 510 is a very good device. I think you will like it here, and I hope you all post often.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! OK...I tried it! I got two kits, one for me and one for hubby. I had been kinda filling him in on the lingo along the way. We felt like mad scientists with our gloves and pipettes. He still looked at me funny when I said "ok..now we have to take off the condom and make a slushee!" Heeeheeeee. So far so good! We both got them to vape nicely! Back on the chargers for a bit for good measure, and the PCC are charging. This is just too fun! :)

Aimee,
I did almost the same thing! If I say I'm quitting I want one more! I too did my homework. I've been reading this forum almost daily for a month or two. I have learned so much! I ordrered my stuff and couldn't handle the regular carts with filler so just put everything to the side. Then I found volcano and ordered the tank sys from them. I went on a family trip with the in-laws who do not know I smoke (yeah I'm 41 and hiding it from them - long story). I used my ecig all week - IT WAS AWESOME! They had no clue! I got back home and over another wk later I am sill vaping and loving it! My husband gave in & bought a pack, of course I had to have one but it was sooo nasty I didn't finish it. I'd rather have my apple pie and wintergreen juice any day. I've been quit analogs for 2 wks and 3 days and I love it!

I love this forum and have read so much my head feels like it will explode sometimes. LOL It is so awesome that everyone shares so much and have helped me learn so much! I thank you all!
