Hi,
I'm a newbie to this whole thing and have been doing a lot of reading and watching reviews on this whole thing. I'm very excited to get started and think that this could be for me. I'm stuck as to what I should buy for my first e-cig though. After reading through everything it's between the 510 and the 901. I like that from what I read the 510 sounds like it has a better vapor hit, and that you can buy that portable charger for it. I am a current marlboro reds smoker, so I like them strong. I don't think I like the idea however of having to push a button every time I want to take a puff. I like that with the 901 there are no buttons to push to use it, and it sounds like it's relatively easy for a new user. I don't like that you can't buy a portable charger for it and am worried about being stranded out without a charge. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions as to flavors that you like. Thank you guys for all your help.

Get several barreries and charge them for backups. This way you will always be able to Vape your 901.

I think you will be pleased with your 901;-)

The manual battery (where you have to push a button) is more reliable and gives far better performance than an automatic battery in my brief experience. Don't worry about whether or not you want to push a button, you really won't mind at all. I didn't think I'd want to push a button either, but it is actually kinda fun after awhile. Even if you do decide on a 901 I would still say to wait until you can get one with manual batteries.

I started with a 901 over a month ago and am still using it, and love it. I haven't had an analog in three weeks.

I agree that you'll need extra batteries and attys but also if you sit at a desk with a computer, get yourself a USB passthrough, or make your own if you're handy. The only time I use batteries now is when I leave the house. Also get some juice to refill your carts.

Your choice of course, but if you go with the 510 (my recommend) check out this deal (not affiliated - just think its a good 'starter' kit or a good 'parts' kit if you're just looking for the case which by itself is $25):

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...bats-pelican-case-usb-15-ml-ecopure-more.html

(thanks surf monkey for the tip) which includes the pelican case. Basically you get 2 ecigs, 4 atomizers (so you can switch them out every few days for longevity) the case, charger, etc. Pretty simple - just put in the coupon code at checkout. Ordered yesterday and got my usps notification today.

I started with the 901, went to 801 penstyle, another 901 and got my 510 yesterday.

There is no comparison. The 510 is by far the winner. I have two of my coworker on the 510 as of today as well. I thought the button would be annoying too, but you get so much more smoke. Also with the auto batts thre is a cutoff so you take a long drag and just when you want a little more, it stops. The manual has no cutoff so you get tons of vapor.

I also shorted out numerous auto batts from the juice dripping. The manuals are sealed so no worries.

If you want a real shot at getting off cigarettes go with the 510

I have both a 901 and a 510, I alternate them throughout the day

They are both great models, I always grab for the 901 first and use it the most because it has the best flavor. The 510 will give you dry vapor with slightly less flavor. It is completely a personal preference but my top vote always goes to the 901.

and the 901 pcc is currently in the works.

Thanks you guys for all your help. After reading your posts and doing a lot more reading of other peoples posts I decided to go with the 510. I found a site, vapor station, that has them in white with a red led which I Was happy about because they look like a real cigarette kinda, and has a choice between manual and auto for it. I asked for one of each, keeping my fingers crossed, so I could see what I like. I ended up ordering everything from different sites to get the right combo of items I wanted, so I had to place 3 different orders lol. The flavors I chose were tobacco, apple, banana, and chocolate. Do these sound like good flavors to start with?

The 510 has WAY less flavor and once they come out with the manuals sealed on the 901's, the 901's will kick the 510's all the way around. The only reason the 510s are so popular right now is because they are sealed and manual. They don't even come close in flavor to the 901's.
