Hey guys and girls my name is Evan,

I've smoked for a little over two years now. Never really thought about quitting until I had a long talk with one of my music teachers. I play trumpet (and have been for 11 years) in a lot of groups at my college. It got me realizing that I really need to start taking care of my lungs if I want to make a living off playing trumpet and making the switch to vaping is my best option.

Well there is my back story. I've done a lot of research and I feel that the eGo-T would be a great investment because a) I don't care much about having a analog sized look-a-like because I want to quit. Not be reminded about them and b) it seems like a lot of people on this forum like it from what I've read.

So I reach out to everyone here for your thoughts and recommendations. Where can I find the best deal right now? Am I choosing a good first e-cig or is it too much? Any insights would be awesome! Thank you in advance everybody, very excited to make the switch!

Awesome you're making the switch! I've been vaping for awhile and after tons of mods I have the egoT as well. First off, the nice thing about them is you can use any 510 atty/carto along with the ego T system. I'm not a fan of using the tanks because it does take away from the flavor. I took out the needle point/wick and only drip onto the coil. It holds much more liquid than the standard 510 atomizer because of its size. Sure it'll leak a bit if you put too much in but once you get the hang it everything works great.

So in conclusion, I think it's a good ecig. If you decide to drip rather than use the tank just pm me or look around on here. Also if you need any help finding flavors feel free to ask anyone on here. We're more than happy to help!

Welcome to the ECF ejohnson91. I'm not so sure the ego-t would be a good stating point for you as we have seen many stories of new vapers that have leaking issues, having to fiddle with the atmoizer and the "tank" to try and get even just a few good hits from it. Just not worth all that when you're new and want something that works. It's an attractive kit and I agree that the idea of the design is great but it falls short of what it should deliver. Personally I feel one of the kits that I've linked below might be a better choice and probably save a bit of cash for you as you'll be back asking about what cartomizers will work with that ego battery from your T.

KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit - Don't even unpack the prefilled cartridges. Also buy a few packs of cartos.

E-Power From Smok Tech and HECS - You'll note that this kit has replaceable batteries. Like a flashlight. Making it unnecessary to discard the entire tube/switch assembly when it comes time to buy new batteries.

I have no leaking issues with my eGo T tank setups. I alternate between those with the atomisers and with Boge 2.0 cartomisers. Glad you decided to make the switch!

This is my experience as well. I only use the tanks with some flavors though. Others seem better dripped, and the most worthy get a nice cartomizer. You may find that with some liquids, the tank seems to stifle the flavor. I do like the tank with Joogler Juice's Pina Colada, because it masks the coconut to a point where I really like it. Also, I enjoy having the option of the tanks, because it's just "pop open, fill, recap, pop in, vape." No fancy filling techniques, no making sure filler is wet, etc. Plus you can see how much juice you've got left.

Basically, in my not even close to expert opinion, get the tanks if you feel like fiddling around to get the hang of them. Otherwise, go with one of the other options suggested above, and watch the classifieds for people trying to dump their tanks/tank atomizers. :p

If your going to get an eGo, I'd get just a regular one and use cartos. The ego tanks can be very finicky and leak, plus they dull flavor and TH.

Many people like the eGo but personally Id say get a kGo or Epower instead. The kGo and Epower are 3.7V PVs while the eGo is only 3.3-3.4V, and the 3.7V PVs handle the lower resistance attys and cartos better.
I have an Epower and love it, but the kGo is also really nice. I went with the Epower bc I like that the bateriea are removable and they only cost $4-6 compared to $14-20 for a KGo/eGo/riva battery. Also everything is replaceable on the Epower so it's cheaper to maintain.
The kGo is nice too though and I have a few friends that have them and love it

I have an Ego T, and it works well for me ... FYI, in response to another poster stating he removed the needle/wick in order to direct drip on his atty, this IS NOT necessary in order to direct drip with your Tank atty. Just drip and vape :)

I would recommend that you also pick a 510 compatible cartomizer to purchase along with your kit. You may have no issues and like the Tank system, or you may be one of those who has issues with proper wicking and dry hits, in which case you will find yourself very frustrated and in need of a more reliable juice delivery method ;-)

I am a newbie and still using my first e-cig the Ego-T. I have no issues and like it just fine.Other then I was a heavy smoker and go through about 6 refills per day of my tank lol. My best advice i have personally learned today ...... dont use a commercial air compressor to blow out your atty , it doesnt work after 150psi goes through it hahaha

This is true. I do it just because I think it tastes better directly on the coil. The wick never gets all nasty. The bummer is that once the atty breaks they're like $10 to get a new one. Removing the needle could break the atty if you hit the coil wrong (which I did once).

I have used the Ego-t's for a long time and gave up on them, they cost to much for replacements and does not work as good as the Ego-c. The C is very good and cheaper to replace, because all you replace is a new little round cylinder that has a coil and wick in it. I am talking about the Ego-t tank cartomizer not the battery.

Hey guys just wanted to give you an update. I ended up getting the Joye eGo-C from americaneliquidstore.com and I couldn't be happier. The x1 it came with was too much for me (probably because of the 24mg) but I'm loving the 18mg vanilla flavor from them.

Setting up the thing was incredibly easy and filling the tank only takes a second with the tank filling bottle I got. If anyone has some recommendations on some juices I'd love to hear them!
