don't use ego T atomizers they are horrible stick with the ego battery and a 510 atty to start... atleast thats what i did because i had the ego T atomizer and it worked very poorly compared to 510 atty's
I agree stay away from the T atomizers, Also I think the E-Power is the best for your money because you can carry a charged battery in your pocket and never be without power. And if you need additional batteries they are way cheaper that buying a non replaceable battery mod.

welcome to vaping!!

Seems like everyone has their own opinion, and their own method, right? Truth is, there is no correct answer. There are lots of great options, and to be honest, you can switch them up with your ego battery, and try most if not all for under $10.

So I say, do get an atomizer. It's great for trying juices, and some people use them exclusively, without a cart or tank system. Also pick up a cheap drip tip to use with it. The total for these two items should run you $10 or less.

Do try a cartomizer or two. In fact, instead of buying a whole pack, try to get a variety of both resistance and type, so you can figure out what you like best. Cartomizers should never cost you more than $5 each (and that should get you a super duper double coil with sparkles and custom embroidery or something).

Personally, I would recommend ego passthrough batteries. You should be able to buy one for $20 or less, and the benefit is twofold. First, you charge them on the rear end with a mini-usb cord. Over time charging on the business end of things does tarnish out the charging connection. Second, you can vape while you charge. This can come in Very handy if you ever happen to be on your last battery, and it just conked out.

Lastly, don't worry. If you spend $5 to $10 and end up not liking the product, just think - in the long run you'll spend SO much less than you would have on cigarettes!! Have fun, play with the combinations you can make. There really is no right or wrong answer :)

I'm using the VEC tank, ego-T lookalike, and am really pleased with it; not so with ego-T and ego-C tank atomizers. My store was out of the VEC atomizers and I thought the ego-C tank atomizers would be trick with the economically replaceable burn tips but turned out to be really weak. Taking it back tomorrow.

I'm not a huge fan of the cartomizers, although they do work. That said, while I've had some minor leakage issues if I'm on the fourth or fifth refill of a tank cartridge (I use eGo-T "A" tanks), replacing the little silicone stopper tends to repair that. Unlike some of the other people here, I haven't been experiencing major flavor issues, but at the same time, I've been sticking with a couple core flavors. The biggest problem I have with the tank system is that thicker juices and darker colored juices (like, for instance, the coffee juice I was playing with the other day -- which is very thick and is dark brown in color) tend to gunk up the wick, which gives a burned taste to other juices. There are YouTube videos on how to clean your tank attys, and I highly advise watching a few of those. I'm likely to pick up a eGo-C atty in the future to experiment with, too... I hear those are even easier to replace (although I did find a place where the eGo-T attys weren't too terribly expensive).

For me, I guess I just like it being just the juice, with no filler. Everyone's got a different view of it, though. Test a few options - cartomizers, atomizer/cartridge, tanks - and find out what's best for you. The great thing about the eGo-type systems is that they tend to be 510-threaded, so a lot of options are available.

from reading this thread the main problem is the tank takes away from the taste?

Well, that's what people seem to be saying, but I have to disagree. For me, the tank gives me more flavor than cartos. I just did a direct comparison today with the same juice on the same battery. Maybe it depends on the juices? I think you have to try both and see what you prefer.
