newbie mini protank 2 question

So when I change flavors and clean out my new mini protank 2 am I supposed to dry burn the wicks or coil, w.e it is that you dry burn, before I load it up with my new juice and vape like I did with my old disposable top feeding tanks that my ego t starter kit came with?? I know this is probly the stupidest questions ever asked on here :x

Dry burn is only needed if your coils are gunked up and the flavor has dropped off or tastes funky. Most juice changes you can just rinse and go. Some that are complimentary you won't even need to rinse.

Well when I just changed it I did a very short dry burn then stopped bc I wasnt sure about it like I held the button for 3 seconds mybe 5 times do you think I did any damage?

You'll know if you did any damage when you try and vape next, you will taste it. The only thing to damage is your wick. As the post above says, usually a rinse is all thats necessary.

It did taste a little funky kinda a burned taste at first but it seems alright after about 2 mins of vapin, im vapin a carmel cream flavor but for the first time so its kinda hard to tell what it should taste like since ive never tasted it before on a wick thats I know for sure is good
