Hey everyone!
I’ve decided to upgrade my stick vape pen to an innokin EZ watt to be able to adjust my wattage..
So I have serious problems getting my head round what wattage and ohms to use for different pg/vg juice...
So I have 0.8ohms and 1.5ohm coils.
What’s the best coil to use for 50:50 and 70:30 juice? And more importantly with the coils what wattage do I use?
Any help?
Thanks in advance! :)

  • "Simply hold down the select and power button to cycle through 3 optimized wattage levels and press the Select button to choose from Low or High. The bright three color LED clearly indicates the current wattage level (13 – 14 / 15 – 18 / 30 – 35)."
  • 0.8ohm Prism S Coil - rated for 16-18W
  • 1.5ohm Prism S Coil - rated for 13-14W
Use whichever coil you wish for whichever pg/vg ratio you want.

So what’s the difference in flavour and clouds for either coil?
Difference in flavor between the two coils should be negligable, but YOUR results may vary. Generally speaking, lower ohm coils will produce more vapor than higher ohm coils because they burn hotter, but YOUR results may vary.

A higher vg ratio will generally produce more vapor.

Generally speaking:

Lower Ohm Coils Will:
  • Thicker wire (more mass) heats slower than thinner wire
  • Produce More Vapor
  • Drain The Battery Faster
  • Use E-Juice Faster
  • Produce A Warmer Tasting Vape
Higher Ohm Coils Will:
  • Thinner wire (less mass) heats faster than thicker wire
  • Produce “Less” Vapor
  • Provide A “Cooler” Tasting Vape
  • Use Less E-Juice
  • Prolong Battery Life

Welcome and glad you joined.
I treat all advertised watt/volt settings as approximate starting points. I find that the wattage that works for me is usually a few watts over the lowest watt setting (where i can barely see the vape cloud on the exhale). Lower watt settings lessen the chance of burning the liquid/wick and generates my perceived best flavor. After I get my Atty (coil and chamber heat up) going for awhile, I will often times turn the power down or up a few tenths of a watt or so to see if I can taste more flavor. I'm often surprised at how much better tasting the vape can be by adjusting the vape temp/wattage.

This is a very personal question.

I prefer higher resistance coils at low wattage and am very happily using 70/30 liquid.

I like the LVC Clapton coils. I have a restricted airflow with fully open liquid valve.

I get a lovely flavour and a reasonable vapour production.

But as you will see from my various posts, it has been a learning curve.

Just make sure you have a few spare coils so you can change them about while you are changing parameters.

Just a thought....

If you are using a '''modern" device...

Just keep a record of the voltage/wattage/liquid and coil resistance.

When I first started vaping, I had to order all my liquid from US ....

Also our choices of flavour was limited...

Anyhow, I tried several different suppliers, and one of them had sent a bonus bottle of RY4.... At the time, that was the latest flavour, and a bit of a craze.
If I remember rightly it was a caramel/flue cure mix.
Most of the ones I tried, I thought were rank.
But this one bottle was wonderful. It would have been my favourite vape for years...........
But I could not remember which supplier sent it..... :-x

And I never found it again,
And because I really did dislike all of the others, I could not face trying to find that one liquid and lost out ....

Keep a vape diary:matrix:
