I just tried my first cartomizer, I filled it and about gagged on the first drag. It taste awful, like oil or something. I also notice I get very little vapor, I put it down for a few days and tryed it again and it still taste like gun oil smells. I think its a boge carto, I switched back to a standard cart and I get great taste and vapor. Could it be my standard 510 battery and atty are not powerful enough?

Are you sure that the cartomizer is full? I don't have any experience with cartomizers, but I figured that could be one thing to look for. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly to help you troubleshoot.

I read somewhere that once the polyfil has been burnt, it will continue to taste burnt. Can you check the polyfil to see if there's any burning on it? Do you have another carto that you could fill and let it "marinate" for awhile to let the polyfil absorb the juice before you puff it?
I don't have anymore cartomizers now, but when I get some more I will try letting it soak in for awhile first.
