Hey all,

I was looking for a way to quit smoking yesterday (or at least smoke healthier) and I came across electronic cigarettes through the web. This isn't the first time I've heard about it, and initially I wasn't interested back then because the pen style cigarette just didn't appeal to me.

I became interested yesterday when I saw that there were now mini cigarette styles, and I did some research about which one to get. Unfortunately, I found out there are dozens to choose from, with little to no difference that I could tell just by looking at it and reading the description.

At first I was considering this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/E-MINI-ELECTRON...yZ75047QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

But then after doing more research I heard some reports about not being able to pull to hard on it or you'll get liquid in your mouth, and the cartridge tasting like crap.

Then, I watched ratinthehat's video review of his cigarette and super e-cig that he got from myecig.com. After watching that video review I really wanted to get that super e-cig that he was reviewing towards the end of the video, and I believe it's this model:

http://cgi.ebay.com/SUPER-ELECTRONI...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

So my question is, should I go for the super electronic cigarette? Has anyone else tried this?

Also, how do the cartridges taste like? I'm not really that heavy of a smoker compared to others in this forum (I smoke 4-5 a day), and I don't particularly like the taste of cigarettes, so as long as it doesn't taste like "burnt stockings" and the smoke feels authentic, it'll be fine, though I would like to experiment with different flavors later on.

If the cartridges do taste like crap, what are your recommendations? I read that I should drip it with e-liquid or something, but the whole process seems a bit complicated for me to understand right now without actually seeing the product in my hand. I've heard about there being some trouble in shipping e-fluid out because of the Olympic games, so isn't it going to be a lot of trouble to get it? Should I just stick with the cartridges?

Lastly, to anybody that has bought this product, how well has it held up for you? Did you have to replace parts frequently?

Hi Manny

I'm a newbie too.

I'm based in the UK and I bought one of the Super Mini's from this seller last week. As far as the seller goes, he's a great guy with really superfast delivery.

The longevity of the carts is defo not as long as stated. I mailed him about this and he said it's just what the literature stated. That's a fair point as everyone smokes at different rates. A single cart will probably last you at least a day if you only smoke 4 - 5 cigs a day.

Battery life is ok. Lasts at least a few hours each but I am using my "excessively"!! I used to smoke 20 cigs a day and now I mostly vape with my Super Miniand only have 4 or 5 cigs a day now although I am beginning to prefer the taste of the e-cig.

The vapour is good and the taste is pretty non descript. The smell of the vapour is the typical smoke machine/fogger smell but not as strong. I've learnt over the last week week to expect to get through around 4-5 carts a day and when the vape starts to deminish to check the cart first to see if its dry, remove it, dry smoke for a while then replace with a juicy new cart!

I know it sounds a bit indepth but you'll definately get more out of it that way. If you do that and the vape is still low then change the battery for a charged one and that will do the job.

I've just ordered the e-cigar he's started selling (more for the volume of vape I'll hopefully get with it) which should arrive tomorrow!

If you need any more info about it just ask. I've learnt so much from all the guys and gals on this board and am glad I can actually contribute something.

THANKS EVERYONE!! :D

Hi manny,
First of all I think you got a pretty accurate overview of what some of the issues are during your initial research of this board.

I’m new at this – only 5 days now. I bought a NJoy and don’t experience the amount of vapor that Dusty does in that video you watched – I’m still experimenting. Also I’m in the US. I’d guess you are from England. We don’t share the same availability of products.

Secondly, I got the sense that the mini cigs just don’t perform as well as the penstyle ecigs – Yet.

Also, I felt the same as you in wanting the looks and tastes of a regular cigarette in choosing an ecig. However, I think I’ve started to pick up from some of the more experienced vaporers that they want to choose style and flavors that least seem like a regular cigarette in order to break the associations and habits – which maybe a good concept/theory.

Lastly, I have friend that smokes about 5 cigs/day. I would not recommend her the e-cig because of the initial and subsequent expense. I don’t think 5 cigs/day is a big deal. I couldn't limit myself to 5 cigs/day. I was a chain smoker. Of course, that’s totally up to you.

PS Please any of the more experienced members of this board that have helped me in the last week, feel free to correct any factual errors or misimpressions that I stated above.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I'm definitely interested in buying the super mini cigarette because it'll probably save me money in the long run, and although I don't really smoke that much I want to remain healthy (still a young guy in his 20s) and I feel guilty every time I smoke a cigarette. With this product, I feel like I can enjoy smoking without having to worry about it too much. I did consider the pen-style cigarettes, but I don't really smoke that much to warrant the longer battery life and bigger cartridge. Also, I really don't fancy the image of putting something that looks more like a pen in my mouth and smoking out of it.

My main worries about purchasing is the liquid in the cartridge that comes with the super mini cigarette and the costs and difficulty of having to buy replacement parts and fluid.

By the way, I live in New York City, same as you NerdyCinderella.

If the liquid that comes with the cartridges in this cigarette tastes fine as Smokester has said, then that'll be awesome, but I would like to try different flavors (sure would like smoking some coffee lol). I'm wondering if I should just buy this pack and consider getting e-fluid later (it seems like it's going to be a hassle because of the Olympic games shipment problem), or get both at once.

Assuming I get e-fluid, how exactly would I smoke it with this product? Would I have to inject the fluid in an empty or used cartridge, or do I just drip some fluid into the atomizer and smoke with an empty cartridge?

i too can vouch for pillbox38.ive bought two cigs off him-not the one you want, but a pen style and a mini(slightly bigger than the one you want).this seller is very helpful,he's a really good guy.im happy with my purchases for this price.you just have to accept that cartridge and battery life isnt that long if you smoke constantly like me,particularly on the smaller cigs, and you get used to the taste and start to kinda like it.i think e-cig sales get good reviews from some american members here too.you should talk to some of them on livechat.

Both the first two are the same model, which is the same one sold by Meltrix and shown in RatinDaHat's video. It's a good solid performer. I bought one from the seller in your first link, and have been using it for a couple of weeks or so. I also bought one from Meltrix, and have just barely tested it, but it seems the same. I'd go for the one in the first link, though, for the better price. (Sorry, Mel!)

Now, myecig.com has another "mini" style which is in between those super minis and the pen models. I first thought it was an early model of mini, like e-cig's, but according to one manufacturer, kingfox, it's actually the next generation model of the pen size. So far it's a great compromise between the large and small; great volume of smoke, and larger cartridges than the minis, and not much longer.

The last link, e-cig-sales, is another good one, and they also have a matching model with longer batteries, and hence longer battery life. I've had that for a couple days, and it's doing great also. Good enough that I've ordered another set with the shorter battery. It produces a similar volume of smoke to the super-minis, and has a slightly easier draw. And the menthol cartridges are absolutly delicious. More like peppermint than menthol. It also has longer cartridges, so that's an advantage. Disadvantage is the cartridge design is tougher to refill.

Oh, and since you're in the US, I'd definitely stick to a US seller for ease of returns if you get a bad part. The UK guy may have the world's best customer service but waiting on international shipping for replacement parts sucks no matter what.

Between the two models of super-mini, I'd suggest e-cig-sales, but it's only ahead by a hair due to the interchangability between the shorter and longer batteries. I like options.

Thanks guys, I think I'll go for the one in my last link, e-cig-sales. However, in the ebay store it looks like they're only selling the cigs (with 5 cartridges) and a car charger. If I get this, where can I buy more cartridges and e-liquid?
Be careful. Don't buy an ecig if you don't know you can economically purchase refills for it. I think you said you were a light smoker so maybe it's not as important to you as it is for me. There are no e-liquids available in the US as of the time I last tried to purchase some - Sun 5/18.

She doesn't have the cartridges at this time, but she's working on it, also on getting a supply of liquid from the same company. But you can get a 30ML bottle from her, it's just that the selection is shrinking.

This is apparently the same as the Janty Yentl, so RuyanXpress.com has cartridges, and I'm still looking for anyone else.

Hi, I have the same mini as in your first link, the super mini.I bought it from ebay for $42 in the states, and its the only one I use now (also have njoy).
It works great but one battery died in a few days,so quality control is probably not very good.I'm only dripping now and
since its small it's very easy to put a drop straight in the atomizer. It is cheap and I like it but the taste was not for me,so I'm
using e liquid flue cured only.Good luck.
