Newbie needs help ordering Tritan

I am currently a pack and a half a day menthol smoker for years. I quit a few years ago with Bloog and used Halo liquids. Started back smoking after tornados hit Alabama and I couldn't recharge batteries.

1. Which battery should I get 400 or 650 and what is the difference, is it just longer battery life?

2. What Nicotine level would you recommend?

3. Which are the best Menthol liquids you recommend? I smoked Misty's then switched to Pall Mall's for the price difference. And I can't remember which was my favorite Halo liquid but I didn't like the strong tabacco favors. I like the coolness of menthol.

4. I still have my Bloog batteries, so I'm also getting the mini tanks to try with them since they are 808's. I may purchase the G6 later.

Plus any other advice would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome Evie Luv! I also live in 'Bama'. Sorry to hear you were in those awful twisters. Yeah, the 650 is longer batt life, but it sounds like you smoked like me....A LOT!!! So I went with bigger everything! 1300mah. i too used to smoke Misty, but ended up with a cheap menthol. I like Halo's Mystic. It's a softer menthol and also their most popular of the menthol line. I started with 6mg nic, bcuz I didn't know any better. I'm now at 18 and I can now set the damn thing down a few mins. at a time! Good luck, and don't be a stranger. 1. Get the 650. These batteries are good for 300 recharges, so the 650 is, by far, the better choice. Other than the size and capacity, they act the same.

2. That's too subjective to answer. You might consider 18 mg/mL, but if you pick up a bottle of 0 nic, you can dilute your e-juice to your preference.

3. I'm not a menthol fan, so all I can recommend is the sampler pack.

4. Good for you.

You should try to make a plan to reduce your nic, gradually, over time. I started at 12 mg, 5 months ago, and now 6 is a bit hard to vape.

i started on 24mg, now down to 18mg, and my next order will be 12mg.
it's so hard to give people advice because everyone is different.

In the first few days I craved cigarettes, and I'd look at my triton and thought it wouldn't satisfy me. but after 5-10 minutes vaping, it did satisfy, and it's been 2 months now without a puff of a smoke.

basically, you can add menthol to any flavour, and I often do. Out of the menthol line halo sells, I've only tried sub zero, and boy is it cold.
on it's own, I take a few vapes then put it down. it's not an all day vape for me.
sometimes I vape tribeca, then have a few puffs of sub zero, then back to tribeca.
or I add a few drops of sub zero into tanks of other flavours.

I like malibu, has some menthol in it.

kringles curse is peppermint, it tastes just like christmas candy canes you hang on trees.
A lot of people add that to other flavours too, like a coffee or chocolate flavour and kringles curse, maybe 20% kringles curse.
I just mix them in the triton tanks, not the bottles the juice comes in.

I was like you too, smoked Misty's pack to a pack and a half per day.

Got the Triton and started with 12mg and had absolutely no withdrawals at all.

I think though getting 18mg and diluting is a great idea.

If I had known when I started that diluting was a possibility, I would probably have done so, but everything worked out fine for me.

In those first 2 or 3 weeks getting used to no analogs, I too really felt the need for menthol.

Got Kringle's Curse in my first sampler from Halo and added that to other juices (like Chesty suggested) and that satisfied my menthol cravings.

Don't really need it much anymore but am never without a 30ml of Kringle's Curse because I still have juices that it compliments so well.

Anyway, welcome and much luck to you on your vaping quest.

If she hangs around these forums long enough, she'll pick up a lot. Thanks to these forums, and youtube, my husband has ordered a bunch of stuff to start building his own micro coils. I can't wait to see how that works out. He's chasing the 'ultimate flavor/cloud' ...we'll see lol

I've tried RBA's, and lost interest, it takes time to get right, you watch a few videos and think that's easy, try it yourself and all you taste is metal, and triton just works. although triton micro coils work really well, so far I've only built one, but it turned out 3 ohms, so it's a little cool. I don't have a VV.

The next triton rebuild will be a little different, a slightly bigger diameter coil so I can fit a 1mm ekowool wick through it, and I'm aiming for 2 ohms, I'll have to get the android vape calc out to workout how many wraps.

No. UNFORTUNATELY, hubby's not a Halon...lol. He's more into the mech mods and such. He's a tinker and builds computers...(constantly). He just ordered the RSST, and all the 'trimmings'. I just want what works ya know? That's why I love my Tritons!!! lol

a good vendor will make sure they note if they're juice is a potential "tank cracker" if your not sure, follow-up on ECF forums and see if anyone had a similar experience. more than a few use non-Halo juices on Halo hardware without issues.

First off, welcome back!!! You made a wise choice in the Triton!!

Other than what Wheezal said about certain juices and ruining a tank, no, it doesn't really matter. All Halo juices are safe in the Triton. I've got some Alice in Vapeland that do great, and to the best of my knowledge, all safe in the Triton as well.

I found my vape tastes are quite different than my smoking tastes. I was not a menthol smoker, but enjoy some menthol vapes. Just as you enjoy fruit vapes as a menthol smoker.

Try Malibu, my personal fav. Pina Colada with some menthol on top. Excellent, and totally rocks adding a little Belgian Cocoa, tastes like an Almond Joy. VooDoo is a favorite as well, dark fruits with a hint of cinnamon, but every time I try it, it's different, but always good. I even get cocoa(?).

I would only vape juice made in the USA with all USA ingredients. I've tried some Chinese, and I just can't trust it from a quality and safety issue. I mean, they have trouble painting children's toys. Not to mention that the taste was poor. Check out this thread in the ejuice section, Top 5 Vendors. (As voted by the ECF members). And check for coupons!!

Yes, get the 650mAh or bigger. Your nic level? I'd try either 18 or 24 to start, but in the little 7mg bottles. Later you can get either 6 or 12 or whatever you find comfortable in the bigger size, and mix the high nic stuff to get the level down. The flavor and nic level search is part of this fun journey. I think all of us have bottles of juices we tried and didn't like, or was too strong or weak. All of us!! You can't know what's truly spectacular until you've tried some "fair to good".

I would get the 650s, they last a bit longer, I use both of mine during the day frequently, and just charge them up every night when I am sitting on the PC.
I started with 24, just to be sure I satisfied my cravings, went down to 18, next order will be 12
I have voodoo and tribeca allways filled, love them both. kringles,malibu and belgiun cocoa from halo are excellent too, still a few I want to try when I get around to ordering, I love Halo juices, with they had a fruity line and a dessert line
For my fruit juice I get AiV april moon, it is an apricot blueberry and is like vaping fruit juice, also like white rabbit, zombie apoc, and crunkberry, did not care for orange creamsicle or mystic mandalime
also another good fruity juice is quantum vapors berry blast, good usa made all natural juice, they also have other fruity juices
I have never had a juice dammage a triton tank yet

I have a 7ml bottle of sub zero in 24mg nic, if you want it for free its yours, its menthol and not my taste, let me know

Okay I just found and drug out my old stuff. I have 12 Bloog batteries. Lol and 15 blank cartomizers, 19 small bottles of juice (10 are Halo). My big bottles are 18mg menthol ice and cool mist. I don't think they had mystic back then. I have Malibu small bottle was in my carry case so that was what I was vaping when tornados hit but thinking about it I think I also liked Tribeca (was it fruity)and was out of it. I also have 30ml of vape station frost which I remember I loved but then all of a sudden didn't and started liking cherry and grape. Lol I do remember getting a free sample of tiki juice and hated it. Lol

I'm also ordering some of the mini tanks. I can't wait to use these. I bet filling them is so much easier. I always felt like a drug user scoring a fix or something filling up the cartos at night to be ready for the next day. My little collection looks worse than a senior citizens medicine cabinet. Lol

HX3 -- fruity, with a hint of menthol
Midnight Apple -- apple cidar, spice, and anise that plays like a cool menthol but isn't; it warms you up, but with the cool kiss at the end
Southern Classic -- thirst-quenching, refreshing citrus-y blend
VOODOO -- fruity, a slight bakery note, white grape, black currant (berry) plum, light cinnamon kiss and vanilla = yummy, yummy, yummy, I got some LOVE in my tummy!

Oh, and there is Malibu -- Pina Koolada with menthol

The minis can last a month, sometimes more, if you try to clean them.

The Triton is a lot easier to clean, because you can take it apart, and the tank itself is reusable with a new coil. Check YouTube for how to clean the Triton.
