Hey, all! I have a little dilemma. I bought some new KangerTech coils today and they fit into the one KangerTech Evod base that I have, obviously. (Pictured on left)
My other base I got is from Eonsmoke ( the one on the right) and the guy told me the coil would fit. I screwed it in and it fits, but it doesn't work! Any reason why it wouldn't work? (The coil on the right is the one that came with it.)
Like I said, I'm new at this, been vaping 3 weeks so I could be doing something wrong. Thanks for your help

Well, the contact at the 510 connection could be an issue, some time the center pin on the battery device has to be pulled up to make contact. Possibly a faulty coil, check it on another device to see if it making connection. Over tightening can damage and break a coil wire. hmm, swap them around and see if it will fire in one base or the other.

It's possible. I just can't find anything on Eonsmoke's website with any kind of information.

So, when you say that the coil won't fit, does that mean that it won't screw into the base properly or that when you try to attach the base to the tank, that the coil is too large? If it's the second, then you probably have the wrong coil. The Evod coils tend to have a shorter chimney than the T3S's.

I would try a few things. As the base on the right is a bit longer, I would verify that the head is threading down a little deeper than it does on the Evod; if it doesn't than that is a good reason why the pin is not going far enough down to make contact with the battery. I have also had issues with the pin on Ego batteries getting pushed down ever so slightly, preventing contact between the battery and the head. Take a small paperclip or pin and gently pry the pin that is in the center of the battery cup, where the tank threads onto, up and out, away from the battery. It should only take a little bit a pressure if that is the issue. You shouldn't see/feel the pin move really at all, it should just need some pressure applied to move it out a very small amount.

Lastly, if that does not work, remove the head from the base, and ever so slightly pull out the bottom pin on the head which contacts the battery, just a bit. Be VERY careful not to pull it all the way out from the rubber grommet. It should only need to come out a touch.

If these steps do not work then there is clearly a compatibility issue with the base. You could always call the store, explain the issue, and see if they have any better ideas. If they are selling these components, then maybe they have come across this issue before. Sorry about the problems thus far. It sucks when something should work but doesn't.... anyhow.

-Best of Luck-
