This might be a loaded and debatable question, but are their any base guidelines as to which ss mesh wicks better that the other. An example like 325 wicks better or worse with 100% PG or VG. I appreciate your help with my newbie errors.

I know some 100%VG vapers like to use the lower numbered mesh like 250 or 300. I've had the most success with 400 and 500. I make all of my wicks as a hollow 500 with a smaller solid 400 in it. So basicly a wick within a wick. I have had great results with that setup and I vape ratios ranging from 40%-100%VG.
Interesting...all I have right now is some 325. Its working but it seems like it could work a little better. Thanks for the info guys. I'll give the 400 and 500 a shot.

for me it was the opposite, for I always had better results in a solid 500 wick with hardly no channel in it. I ran really low resistances with thick gauge wire and was able to vertically fire my device without any glowing coils for a long time. lots of other factors involved and experimenting is the only way to know exactly what works the best for you.
