Hello all, this is my first thread here. Just wanna give a quick thanks to everyone here, so much great information.
Moving on, I recently purchased an Innokin SVD along with a Panasonic CGR18650CH battery. A friend of mine who owns a local vape shop gave me a charger to use until I buy my own. The charger he gave me is the sigelei charger that comes with some of their kits. Here's the specs on the charger:
INPUT: 100-240V AC 50/60Hz
OUTPUT: 4.2V DC 1000MA
Now, when I first received the Panasonic battery I checked the charge and it was at 3.6. I started charging it, read somewhere it takes around 2-2.5 hrs to fully charge. I let it charge for around 1 hour 50 mins, the indicator light was still red, checked it and it read 4.2 on my SVD, which I believe is full for this battery? I'm probably wrong on that
Anyway, I know better chargers are recommended and I have a few more batteries coming my way and plan on getting a better charger ASAP but in the meantime is it safe to continue using this charger? I don't know why the indicator light doesn't turn green when the battery reaches 4.2V which worries me. So I just charge the battery for an hour or so when it gets below 3.6V and make sure nothing wonky is going on.
Thanks for reading and any insight is greatly appreciated
