I am very new to this. I started out with NJoy [801?] and it was not a good experience, couldn't get much vapor and the taste was unbearably nasty. I then bought a Red Dragon, nice vapor but still nasty tasting.

I was just about to throw the whole mess in the trash and give up but then I found this great forum. After learning a lot on here I ordered a Yeti [510] and a sample juice kit.

The Red Dragon is now very nice with good juice in it, but I am disappointed with the Yeti. I bought the Yeti because of all the great reviews, but I don't get that much vapor from mine, the Red Dragon puts out a much bigger and warmer vapor hit.

I was wondering if all 510s have holes between the battery and atty? if I cover these with my fingers I get a very nice hit. It doesn't matter if I use pre-filled carts, fill my own, or drip on the atty, I get weak vapor and flavor. Both batteries were charged overnight and I tried both attys. Am I doing something wrong here? or is the Yeti 510 overated?.....thanks

I guess I cant edit posts. I tried the Yeti again and I must have just had one hole covered before because it clearly wont work with all of them covered. Anyway, it seems to be putting out a little more vapor, but still the hit is not nearly as nice as the Red Dragon. Maybe there is a breaking in period?

If you want vapor, go to CVS Pharmacy or WalMart in the skin care section and get a bottle of Pure Glycerin USP. I mix my juice 50 / 50 with Glycerin. You'll get more vapor than you can handle.

The holes are for air flow through the atomizer. Sometimes covering one will help, but you cant cover all of them. Covering them all will cut of the air flow.

My njoy is the ncig model and it is horrible. Unbearable tasting carts, and I think mine must have came with a bad atomizer because it never produced much vapor and now both batteries just flash when I try to use them, even after making sure they were fully charged.

I figured out what I was doing wrong with the 510. It requires a slower, more deliberate and longer draw than my Red Dragon. When drawn on properly it produces plenty of vapor but the flavor and smoothness is still a little behind the Red Dragon.

Anyway, I am enjoying the Yeti much more since I figured out how to use it properly. I think I may prefer the two piece cartomizer style now that I see how easy they are to refill and it's nice to have a separate, built in atomizer in each cart when changing flavors.

Time will tell which I like better, but I think the Yeti was a good purchase.

If you add a bunch of glycern to your liquid, you must understand you will dilute both the nic strength and the taste. That can be a draw back.

If you got the 510 with the auto switch batteries instead of the manual switch batteries where you can heat the atomzier as long as you want, then that could be your problem. A manual switch PV is preferred by many on this forum.
