Hello all, I've been lurking for a little bit, trying to learn as much as I can in the past 2 weeks. All this info can be quite overwhelming, but I've finally made a decision and narrowed it down to an ego. I've come across this kit. (For what is worth I like that plain Jane ego-c look with the cone)
ElectronicStix.Com · Original Joye eGo Starter kit with T2 Upgrade Batteries and 510 Atomizers (650 mAh)

I then plan to get a kanger t3 clearo, and/or boge xl carto, and some samples from bluemist.

Any advice or feedback would be great.
Oh and I've noticed the kit above is a ego-t 2 upgrade, I understand that it's just the battery but is there any real difference between that and an ego-c (aside from that dual voltage upgrade) ?
And a few other random questions...
I would have to purchase a 510 to ego adapter for the kanger t3?
Best place to buy that adapter?
Best place to buy the kanger t3 and boge xl carto?
Is electronicstix a reliable site?

The T3 has ego threading, so it will fit on any ego battery. The outside threads on an ego battery are ego threads, and the inside threads are 510 threads, so you can screw almost anything onto them without adapters. I would also recommend the ego c twist over any other ego battery. It's really nice to be able to dial in the voltage exactly where you like it anywhere from 3.2 to 4.8 volts.

This would be a very good kit for a beginner. All of your eGo batteries are going to preform about the exact same. Good luck on your purchase.

I fully agree, but I have found I like the larger batteries, and the twist is very nice. I have several 650 eGo's, and wish they were all twists. I got my twists here:

Wow thanks for such a warm welcome!! I've registered to all sorts of forums and by far has this one been the most welcoming!

I would love to get a twist however I have yet to find a kit within my budget. Along with that, I plan to vape at work and would like to be somewhat incognito, the twist battery seems massive, at least that's what the pictures make them seem like. I think I'll eventually purchase one, but for the meantime, should the dual voltage feature suffice for this newbie?

As for the adapter, that's great to know that I wouldn't be needing one.

Thanks again for all the feedback, I really appreciate all the help. I wish I was vaping now!
