Newbie says hello & first impressions

Just wanted to say howdy to the forum.

Today is my first day of "real" vaping. Bought a few disposables (njoy onejoy) over the past couple of weeks and liked them enough to dig a little deeper. Not enough flavor or vapor with the disposables, but liked the convienence. Plus, I live in a non-smoking apartment building in New Hampshire and was looking for an alternative to freezing my .... off in a few months smoking analogs.
Luckily, I have some friends who are in the vaping community who were able to steer me in the right direction to buy a quality rig.
Unlike a lot of folks, quitting smoking altogether is not my primary goal (but would be a welcome bonus if it comes). I quit for almost 5 years after an illness, but started up again a year and a half ago after a relationship break-up. Probably only a half PAD smoker.
Interested in vaping because of the multitude of flavor options and for some of the "soft benefits" like the no smell, no teeth yellowing, and mostly the ability to "smoke" indoors again. It gets damn cold here and stays cold a long time!
First impressions...
i got a Joyetech eGo C and my first vape is djarum vanilla from Myfreedomsmokes in a Stardust long wick clearomizer. Tons of vapor and solid throat hit.. Surprisingly close experience to analog cigs. Only negative thing to say is that the flavor is a little disappointing. Can't really taste clove.. More like maple syrup. Not unpleasant, but not the WOW experience I was hoping for. I know enough to know not to judge taste based on the first two hours of use... Steeping and wrecked taste buds seem to be common themes.
I bought tons of flavors of juice from a couple vendors, so looking forward to trying more in the coming days.
One final note. I was worried that the system would be technically confusing and might be frustrating to try to get started. This setup was super easy to get started with. So if others are looking for simplicity and an easy starter rig, this one should be considered.

See ya around!

Seems to as many opinions on suppliers as there are suppliers. There are so many vendors, so many flavors and even options inside the flavors (pg/vg mix, nicotine, extra flavor etc.). Plus people seem to discover that they like favors they think they would not, so I think the best thing to do is try a few flavors of different kinds from a couple different vendors and see what you like. Experiment. This is supposed to be fun...

Hi all. I'm a noob also. Just been into vaping the real deal for 10 days. I started a couple of years ago with the blu-cig but got no sastification from it. I''ve been told I have severe COPD and have also been to the ER more than I can pay for. I also started out with the eGo C twist. Didn't know anything but also had a kGo on order at the time. I couldn't wait for the shipment so found a local shop I could buy from. By no means am I very experienced in vaping but today I finally got the right combo that worked for me. It's been a great day. I got more juice to try than I got time left. Even my lung doc advised to try vaping. What I'm try to say is don't give up. It took me this much time to find just the right combo that I REALLY enjoy. Once you find that sweet spot you'll never regret the money you lost looking for it. And the plus thing is I haven't had a COPD exacerbation attack for 9 of those 10 days. Your in the right place for advice and help. Good vaping and best wishes to all. Now I got to fill up my BlackCherry again!!!!!

Just an update...
Switched out the stardust for a standard ego tank with Myfreedomsmokes US Menthol 18mg and ego-c atty.
Arrgh.. the primer on the atty is god awful for the first few puffs.. Guess I need newbie advice on how to avoid that next time..
Once past that, all is well. Flavor still probably not strong enough for my liking.. better than njoy onejoy disposable and vapor much better than disposable, but more like what I was hoping for. I've been smoking Camel Crush Blue analogs for a while (with the crushable menthol capsule), so that's probably why I'm craving strong flavors.
I intentionally started with something non-menthol because I wanted to see how I reacted to it.
One other question. How do people typically change flavors? Run multiple tanks/clearos? Just fill tanks with sorta complimentary flavors and deal with it? if switching tanks but not attys, how long does an old flavor linger?
I'm so happy with the stardust that I already ordered a bunch more, but just trying to determine what the "best practice" is .. without getting too crazy with maintenence right out of the gate.
