Just wanted to say howdy to the forum.
Today is my first day of "real" vaping. Bought a few disposables (njoy onejoy) over the past couple of weeks and liked them enough to dig a little deeper. Not enough flavor or vapor with the disposables, but liked the convienence. Plus, I live in a non-smoking apartment building in New Hampshire and was looking for an alternative to freezing my .... off in a few months smoking analogs.
Luckily, I have some friends who are in the vaping community who were able to steer me in the right direction to buy a quality rig.
Unlike a lot of folks, quitting smoking altogether is not my primary goal (but would be a welcome bonus if it comes). I quit for almost 5 years after an illness, but started up again a year and a half ago after a relationship break-up. Probably only a half PAD smoker.
Interested in vaping because of the multitude of flavor options and for some of the "soft benefits" like the no smell, no teeth yellowing, and mostly the ability to "smoke" indoors again. It gets damn cold here and stays cold a long time!
First impressions...
i got a Joyetech eGo C and my first vape is djarum vanilla from Myfreedomsmokes in a Stardust long wick clearomizer. Tons of vapor and solid throat hit.. Surprisingly close experience to analog cigs. Only negative thing to say is that the flavor is a little disappointing. Can't really taste clove.. More like maple syrup. Not unpleasant, but not the WOW experience I was hoping for. I know enough to know not to judge taste based on the first two hours of use... Steeping and wrecked taste buds seem to be common themes.
I bought tons of flavors of juice from a couple vendors, so looking forward to trying more in the coming days.
One final note. I was worried that the system would be technically confusing and might be frustrating to try to get started. This setup was super easy to get started with. So if others are looking for simplicity and an easy starter rig, this one should be considered.
See ya around!
