Hello everyone, new to this forum and relatively new to vaping, though a confirmed convert from tobacco. I've tried Greensmoke (which I left because I decided I wanted refillable cartomizers and yes, I know that technically you can refill them...not ideal though really is it?) and then, most recently the Liberro Realis. I love the E-liquids made by Liberro and would like to continue my custom with them on that basis and in many ways, the Realis is a smart product. Unfortunately though, it's a bit useless for anyone but a very light smoker, or someone with too much time and money on their hands. The central problem is the cartomizers, which hold very little juice and seem to burn out after only four or so refills (less than the advertised claim). Admittedly, they've shot themselves in the foot slightly by making such tasty e-liquid, meaning I'm vaping a lot more than I ever smoked. The net effect is that, continuing with them, I'm looking at spending about twice as much money, mostly on empty carts, than I ever did on tobacco. There is also the inconvenience of having to be constantly refilling empty carts.

So...

I'm looking for advice on a good setup that fulfills the following criteria as closely as possible:

- high capacity cartomizers that vape well and withstand as many refills as possible, meaning small expenditure on reorders.

- err...actually, that's it really. That's the priority. I can't afford anything else. I had a preference for small, portable units in a pcc etc...hence Liberro, but I recognise that my priority demand probably rules this out, so it's a secondary consideration. I've been looking at Ego type models and am slightly put off by the manual trigger element...is it a big deal or something you get used to quickly?

I'd be very grateful for specific suggestions, links to products etc...I'm pretty ditsy where it comes to understanding mechanical principles and technical specifications, so please make sure any suggestions are somewhat catered to the technologically idiotic...:p

Thanks everyone! Grateful for any aid in my bemused time of need!

Hiya. Have you checked out the UK forum at all? They know the good deals there. Chrissy has a list of UK suppliers, so you could compare prices. 15 pounds for ten cartos seems too high to me. Carto life seems to vary. It can depend on what juice mix you have in them.
You could go up to a fatt batt but that isn't going to change carto life - will give you more batt life of course.
You may want to try clearos - but they can leak.

A mid-sized mod like an Ego-type battery would allow a decent juice capacity between 2.5ml to 3.5ml using one of the skinny DCT tanks or larger clearomizers or CE3's.

The smaller cigarette look-a-like batteries are quite limited with juice capacity just because of their smaller size. A 650 or 900 mAh Ego battery is more the size of a cigar, still small enough to cup in your hand to stealth vape if that is necessary. Being wider and having a more common threading, the options begin opening up more.

Hello & welcome Thm3 :)

Here is the list of good UK vendors that Kiwivap mentioned -

ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK - E-cigarette & E-liquid Vendors List.

And yes, you would very quickly get used to pressing the button on a manual battery :) This is a brilliant kit from an excellent vendor. Use discount code ECF10 for 10% off -

The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Thank you very much, and thank you everyone for your generous help and suggestions. Agreed that this looks like a great kit so I'm going to give it a go.

I am also new here, but have been vaping for over a year now. My sis gave me the Riva 510 from LF for my BDay last year. She is as RN and has tried to get me to quit smoking for years. I had tried everything but couldn't quit. From the day she gave me the Riva 510 I have been cigarette free. I will stay with the 510 and like the Smoke Tec Carts.

Hello again everyone. I've received my Riva and I have a couple of further questions for any who'd care to answer. First of all, could someone recommend a good resource/guide for the upkeep of these things? Secondly: With my Liberro Realis, I was using a liquid called DK Tab which, through the Realis, was delicious, sweet and aromatic, but through the Riva tastes like cheap tangerine soap. I hadn't realised that the gear you're using had such an effect on the flavour. I'm guessing, since the DK Tab was made by Liberro, it was designed with the smaller model in mind and doesn't translate well to the Riva. The espresso from Johnson Creek on the other hand, which previously tasted like burnt caramel and not much else, now tastes pretty good (though still retaining a strong molasses flavour). The upshot of all this is: could someone recommend me a company that makes good stuff that'll work well in the Riva? Or even some specific flavours? I favour tobacco flavours and coffee type stuff (i.e dry, bitter or aromatic) rather than fruit or menthol flavours. I think that's all. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with my purchase so far. I find the toke on it a bit jaw-intensive next to what I'm used to but that seems to be quickly improving, think it's a matter of adjusting technique. Can't wait to impress my smoker friends with my massive, metallic, phallic monstrosity! :p

Hello thm3,
I am new to this forum but I am an experienced Vaper with 3 years of vaping experience. What worked for me was ego style battery's and clearomizers particularly the ce4 or stardust this combo Is amazing the ego has a long battery life and puts out 3.3v for great vapor production and comes in many styles, sizes and colors. The ce4 was a huge breakthrough in vaping its easy to fill just by un screwing the top and pouring the juice right in they produce large clouds of vapor and they look cool if you go to www.litecigusa.net in the bargain bin they have the riva it is an ego style battery in black and stainless with gold trim for like $6-7 this is a steal for this unit normally around $15-20 also you can go to www.discountvapors.com for great discounts this one is my favorite place to shop they have the ce4 in their bargain bin for $1.75 normally $5-6. For juice is like vapedudes.com and gotvapes.com. Now all you need is an ego style charger 420mAh you can find that at any one of these stores. I hope this helps.
