DIY juice is fantastic. With that said, what's the saying I was going to say Rome wasn't invented in a day, but I guess it wasn't built in a day either. Coilbuilding is a great place to start....

I think a lot of folks preferred the K3 to the K5 yes. I might order the reducer, unless your N2 reappears, just so you can kind of experience a tight draw vs a more airy one. Also, clones aren't a TERRIBLE choice to try cheaply while you are trying to decide what to get that's Super Expensive. fasttech is pretty good about labeling clone vs authentic, but they're a Chinese vendor so there can be a bit of a wait..... But if you decide you don't adore the K5, you can try the others in clone version to get a sense of what you will get. I've ordered many RTA clones prior to starting to buy some originals as I figure out what I like (and can build).

I've ordered a clone K5 from FT. So it'll be a while before it gets to me. Usually takes 3 weeks for things to show up here. I'll have to use my N2 and Elf in the mean time anyway.

I think I'll take a call on the reducer once I get the K5 and try it out. Though super airy draws aren't fun for me. I usually keep 2 holes open on the N2 and 3 on the Elf.

Oh right. Okay. Didn't know that. Let me see if I can find the reducer. Would you say that the K3 is better than the K5?

Hey, I agree with Opinionated about the airier draw, and that you may want the reducer. Also the 26ga wire. I got some, and like it, but usually use the 28ga. The 26 is definitely easier to work with, too.

But just to clarify - I like the KM3 a lot more than the K5 myself, because I like (need?) a stronger throat hit with more condensed vapor. But based on your comment about not caring for throat hit, that it was just the oral fixation, that's why I recommended the K5. It's a larger deck than the KM3, which makes it easier, and the wire trapping feature that makes it even easier, especially while you're learning to build. And it has adjustable air flow. But I don't think you'd dislike either, once you've learned to build.

For me I wouldn't waste money on the three, but that's because I don't appreciate a tight draw..

It's not much, so I'd just grab a reducer if you think you'll need it but what the 5 did was take the most popular airflow for the mtl crowds, but they didn't include the tightest settings in order to get an additional more open setting. .

The 5 has one more open setting than the 4 had... and one less tighter draw setting than the three had.

Don't worry, I'm positive the 5 will be great for you.
Thanks. Will have to wait a couple of weeks for it to get here anyway. Let's see how that goes.

Amen to that. Now waiting for it to arrive. In the mean time going back to the Vaporesso Drizzle Pen [emoji849]

I hope you figure out why it's leaking... it really shouldn't be but I certainly can't think of anything else not already mentioned. .

Btw.. Welcome to ECF

I hate that massive throat hit myself... I had a bunch of 3's but gave all but one away.

From the first day itself, the Nautilus was leaking and leaking and leaking. I read as much as I could. Watched all YouTube videos as I could. But to now respite. I thought it was the stock coils. Got my hands on more coils - both 1.8 and 0.7 coils. But the leaking continued. Then I decided to change my 70/30 juice to a 50/50 juice. The leaking reduced a great deal, but the dry hits started. Frustrated, I got my self an IJOY ELF tank.

Thank you @BrotherBob for the welcome and the information. I've read about common reasons fpr flooding and leaking. But nothing seems to have worked for me. My other tank, the elf, that one doesn't leak but is notorious for dry hits.

I've placed an order for K5. Let's see if I can find a trusted companion in rebuildables.

Thanks for this info. Will read up and try again. Cheers.
