One question I'm a bit confused about.

I noticed, on Blu's website, they have this information:

Now, I know in a normal cigarette the Nicotine is what some people go for, but is it much different in vapors? Like, will a no-nicotine vapor be as effective? Or would they be pointless to get? also, what would be a good nicotine amount to start with? I've heard stories of some people starting at like 18mg and having night terrors and crap like that. But that may be due to too much nicotine intake, I'm not sure.

Suggestions?

Sorry for the double post.

Try it.

In fact you might want to keep 2 tanks, one with high nicotine and one with low.

How strong it feels also depends on other factors such as the pg/vg ratio of you eliquid base, and the atomiser system you use it with.

Prolly the toughest part is finding the right juice, After you purchase your PV try and find a B&M Shop where you can sample juices before buying. Realize everything costs more at a B&M.
Here's a Vendor Search Engine:
VaporSearchUSA
P.S. I began vaping 36 mg X 50- 60 ml per week. I know a convert that smoked 1 PAD and quit by vaping zero Nic juice.

Awesome, thanks for the link. :)

Found a shop near me that has a sample bay in their shop.

For effectiveness, it really depends - wife and I smoked 1/2-3/4 packs a day, both of us started at 12mg nicotine, kicked it up to 18mg before we were able to quit smoking completely. She still vapes 18mg, I cut mine down to 12mg and then 6mg at night - the last few months I'm finding I rarely want to go above 6mg, ever.

You're an interesting case, in that you don't smoke - if I read your original post right you're tempted to go back to cigs after having given them up for a couple years. While most of the time everyone recommends higher-than-normal nic doses to get people to quit smoking, in your case I might suggest starting at 0 nic or a really low level, to see if it's the act of smoking or the nicotine that's drawing you in. If you don't get the satisfaction you're looking for, you can always go higher later.

Because you don't know how much (if any) nicotine you want, and because everyone's tastes are unique, don't buy a lot of juice up front - if you can find somewhere with a handful of small, cheap samples, play around a bit.

I'm also going to recommend the Ego - the cigarette-sized devices, in my experience, have been crap and failed to help me when I tried to quit using them. I still use Ego twists, and I'm perfectly comfortable with their performance, not to mention the wide array of juice delivery devices they let me try (others have mentioned the limits of the miniature setups). If you were an active smoker plowing through a pack a day or more, one of the big, fancy devices might be more up your alley...but then again, lots of people like that have also quit no problem with the Egos.

Do your homework, set your budget, and then have fun. Best of luck in whatever direction you decide to head!

Yes, you're correct. I haven't smoked in quite a while but have lately, maybe the last 2 weeks, had an urge. I eyeball cigarettes at the store but luckily I pull away from them, just dunno how long I can til the urge makes me cave so I am looking for a better alternative, so to speak. Hopefully it can help. I will definitely give 0 nicotine a shot at first as you and Vapoor Eyes suggested, so i can see if it's the need for Nicotine or not that I'm craving. I will most likely grab an Ego, I've been looking at those more than disposables the last hour or so (Such as Blu Disposables).

I too would recommend going the EGO/EVOD combo to start. If you like vaping, you'll probably do what 99% of us have done and start getting MODS! I still have a couple EVOD tanks and EGO batteries. I have an iTaste SVD coming tomorrow, along with some AW IMR 18650 batteries and a Nitecore intellicharger. I was satisfied for 1.5 years just using EVOD and Anyvape Davide tanks, and EGO/Anyvape batteries! Finally Ive come to the point where I want to get into MODs. My local supplier and his one employee are like mad genuises when it comes to vaping and MODs/Rebuildables/etc, so I have some well seasoned veterans showing me the way!

But I would start out with an EVOD/Davide tank and a couple EGO batteries. The EVOD/David BCC tanks both use the same Kanger Protank attys, so its easy to buy in bulk and use the same attys on both tanks!

Best of luck!

I smoked the disposable cigs for a minute when I first started. total waste of money IMO! I spend about $50/month on nicotine juice and attys, and I SMOKE mine all day long very heavily. Once you buy those initial batteries/tanks, you can focus yourself on just liquids and attys.

Older sister quit smoking 35 yrs ago after she became pregnant and still has urges. Stay away from Blu- not only expensive but since Lorillard bought them out things have changed. No longer offering refunds and just in the last lil' while many having battery failure. I can fully understand where you're coming from as I know that smoking is not just a "habit" but a very strong and powerful addiction.
Wishing You the Very Best of Luck.

If you don't currently smoke, it might be a good thing to get a simple disposable; with a regular cigarette, once you light it, you don't want to waste it, so you basically smoke it for 5 minutes.

With a disposable, you use it for 5 maybe 10 seconds then you can put it back in your pocket! Maybe all you need is 1 disposable a week, or month.

But if you need more like 1 disposable a day, then definitely go with a tank and eliquid

Yeah, my urges are the reason I failed to quit twice before. I was on a good run but a friend asked me if I wanted a smoke one time and without even thinking about it I said ''Sure.'' and it was then that I knew I messed up. I grabbed a pack on the way home that night and just felt the downward spiral from there but didn't try to stop. :/

I feel great though, now, after being clean for so long (feels like an eternity but I love it). Just wanta backup plan if I need one. Thanks for the good wishes man. :)

Yeah, I kind of like the idea of disposables being compact but at the same time it seems like a big money sink.

That is the main reason I was looking at disposables at first. As you said when you light an actual cigarette, you surely don't want to waste it so you really only have one choice. But disposables give you a second choice which is nice. It's just the cost seems like it can get ridiculous.

If you're concerned about size here's something to think about- fires at 3.7 volts and is 350 mah. 100 mah= "approx" 1 hr vaping so battery would be good for 3 hrs before recharge. Also uses an eGo charger so to upgrade to a 650 or 1100 mah setup all you'd need is the battery/ batteries. I own a similar PV and use it at Concerts- may look small but kicks like a Mule. This one is 420 mah, fires at 3.7 volts:
Battery: MFS eGo-T Mini 420mAh Battery - MyFreedomSmokes.com
Charger: eGo/eGo-T USB Wire Charger - My Freedom Smokes
A similar PV Review

That's awesome. I'll look into that. Seems like a perfect size.
