Newbie to RBA's? AGA-T or DID Clone?

Yes on both points. I started with the Chid and was set up & vaping in ~25min. BUT... knowing what I know now, I'd say start with the AGA. If you can manage it, you can manage just about genisis atty. Be prepared for a little frustration, but it'll be worth it. When you start to get ...... off, just put it down and walk away for a while.
Thanks! What gauge wire do you recommend starting with? I was thinking about jumping straight to 28 gauge. Is that harder to learn on?
I only use 28ga on my mechanical mod, and then I have to use the Petar K method to get good coils.
32ga is easiest to learn on (IMO anyway). I use 32ga on my Chids wrapped @ 2Ω for use on my Twists.
I use 30ga for the rest of my VV/VW mods. I wrap them @ ~1.6Ω ± 0.1Ω.

you've been so helpful. I have one last question. I was looking to buy an MVP. do you use RBA's with this?
My MVP is my daily work device. I work in a public school & no one gives it a second look. I told them it was my "inhaler". LoL
I use Chobras on it. They mate up nicely with the 'beauty ring' and I use it to lock the RBAs in place. I take 2 with me. One for my morning vape (Crazy Coffee Craving) and one for after lunch (Nemo). (Both flavors come from MyVapeJuice.com.)

I use the did clone. Works good.....mvp is nice.....also a fan of vv gripper for that box style pv

Aga t and 30 gauge kanthal is the way to go imo. I am under the impression that thicker wire is actually easier than finer wire for avoiding hotspots.
28 is fine too but then you will need more turns to get to your resistance. 30 seems to be a happy medium.

It gets real hard to adjust 28 gauge if you develop a hot spot. I've been pulsing it without the wick, which according to the video tutorial I watched, makes it very stiff. YMMV, of course.
I use 28 or ribbon at 0.8 ohms with no hot spots. The key is making sure the wick touches the wire everywhere.
